I really want a tattoo, but I'm afraid of the pain. And I have no idea what I want to tattoo and where. I figured that I will do it on the arm, since I read that it hurt the least there.

Lately I've also been thinking about getting a scythe on the inside of my wrist. I read a book with a heroine who had it and I thought it sounded cool. :mchappy:

Sometimes, I have felt like I wanted a tattoo. Then I remind myself how fluid my sense of what I like, what I find pretty, etc, is. No matter what I got, I would regret it within the year.

They look nice.
Well, Often enough anyway!

But i change my mind WAY too often for anything permanent so i just stick to temporary ones that peel/rub off. If i ever feel like one or spot one i really like.

But what others choose to do is their choice and not mine to make and vice versa.

It is not like i could not handle the pain of getting one; Just that i change my mind far too often!

I don't have any, only type I will get are airbrushed
They're not for me. Plus I dun wanna be stabbed by needles ;__;
Unless they're offensive, I don't care so much about them

My sister wants me to design one for her, of at least wanted to. By now she's forgotten the whole idea

I think tattoos are cool. Well, it depends on the design and execution of the tattoo, but I like the look of a well made tattoo.
Lately I've been thinking of getting one sometime in the future, not now since I don't know what I want plus I can't afford it at the moment. I'm thinking of putting it on my spine, because spine tattoos look so cool! I really like them, and it would be easy to cover up for work but easy to show of with the right clothes if I want to as well. Since it's permanent I'll have to think about the motive for a while, to make sure I won't change my mind two weeks later. I've read that spine tattoos hurt a lot, but I don't think I'll have a problem with that.
I also think that you should at least know the meaning behind your tattoo, if it has one. Like, if you decide to get a tattoo of a Chinese character, you should know what it says even if you only want it for the way it looks.

It's not my type of body mod [for me, personally], but I know a couple folks who have one and want one. The reason I don't want one is because I don't have anything I like enough to keep with me forever, be it an image or a quote.

I've seen some great tattoos and some terrible ones. My general opinion on it is that folks should have some idea of what they're getting into and some responsibility as well. If they've put thought into it and are satisfied, then it's not much of a problem, is it? It's not a matter of who else approves or what they think about it, as that sort of thing would differ between people --different people have different perceptions of beauty.

I personally like tattoos that are more subtle than glaring, and ones that are original or meaningful rather than those that are based off of a fandom [I'm talking about images and symbols --words and characters generally look fine to me]. I just feel like fandom images are unoriginal --like being a follower of sorts. But that's just my opinion.

I do have two tattoos. One on my right shoulder and one that goes down from my left shoulder to the hip. The smaller one didn't hurt at all, but the second, larger one did hurt sometimes. I have the first one for six year now and I still ove it and I think I will never regret getting them.

I have three and I love them and I want more. but I think you should definitely know what you want before you put it on your skin. You have to love it and be committed to it before it goes on. Names are a BAD idea unless they are your family (not spouse or bf/gf) and I can't endorse facial tats, I just think that is a really bad idea no matter who you are or what they are.

I love tattoos! :) I have a few, very small ones that people miss pretty easily. I'd love to get some more, but I need to decide what I want. :mcshock:

I really love looking at beautifully done tattoos on other people, too.

i have a white rose on my wrist.
tattoos are nice. i don't have much of an opinion on them in general. however i'm not really into the whole, get tattoos just to do it thing. when people cover their entire bodies.. idk. you get an adrenaline rush when you get tattoos because you are constantly cutting below the skin and causing pain. it is essentially a high and people get addicted.
i don't like that.
but tattoos themselves are nice.
