That's pretty awesome. If people are stepping up and being nicer people in the face of this tyrant, there's some good coming out of this after all.

This one guy said he'd not vote for Trump again.
He said something about not following a man who threw a tantrum about being made fun of on SNL or something xD

Good!

Recently in my psychology class a concept called framing effect came up. So if a decision is framed as gain, then people usually try to minimize risk. But if the decision is framed as loss, then people try more risky options. The professor suggested maybe people voted for Trump because neither Hillary nor Trump were good options so people considered it a loss either way... and when viewed in that perspective, Trump is the riskier choice.

I didn't like either of them.
I saw equally bad things between them.
I don't think there was a win xD

Exactly, right? It's a loss either way. And people apparently tend to go for the riskier option when it's loss either way. And Hillary seems like a safer bet.

She did seem safer to me.
I still see people being racist as shit.
And people in Texas are being twats >_>
Trying to pass laws that'll harm gays/trans.
People attacking people for not being white.
I'm ashamed of this state.

That's terrible. I mean, some people might believe sexual orientation is a choice and they can change, but colour of your skin is definitely something you can't change. What are we going to do? Bleach our skin, dye our hair, and completely reconstruct our face? It's not like the white people are indigenous to America. This whole continent is a land of immigrants. No one "belongs" here, except maybe the indigenous people, and even they immigrated here over the antarctic bridge or whatever.

They were trying to, don't remember if they did, pass a bill where teachers need to out their gay students to the parents.
Because the parents NEED to know.
1. That's not their job.
2. They'll cause tremendous harm.

When I think of my country, I think of all kinds of people.
I don't think of straight, white Christians.
I think of Native Americans, Africans, Hispanics, Europeans, Asians, etc.
I think of Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, etc.
As a kid, I was told people from all over came here for a better life.

What gets me...is when people say "My ancestors founded this country!"
And they have no native blood whatsoever.
So no, they didn't found it. They stole it.

I don't care who lives in my country, as long as they're not hurting others.
Even people who hate non-whites and gays and such.
As long as they don't hurt them, then I don't care.
But if they attack or try to rip rights away or anything like that - they can leave >>

Yeah I remember talking about that. I hope that bill didn't pass and even if they did it'll only serve to highlight teachers of integrity who ignore that bill.

We'll send those people back to the countries they belong. They're so mixed they aren't so ethnically homogeneous anymore? Well, we'll build a giant blender to make sure we distribute it among their countries of origin equally. Let's see them talk about uprooting and sending back visible minorities then.
