I was a bit of a reader too when i was younger. i would go to the library every few days to get some new books. now though........xD;; its mainly reading translated novels and stuff and fanfics.

Reading a book is one of the most wonderful experiences! It makes your imagination fly in ways no other thing can!

I know there is so much to do and so few hours in a day, but hey, just a little bit is quite enough to get addicted to a good story

oh i love readingggg and i like.........still read.......but its mainly just people translating web/light novels or like fanfics.........that's still reading right? XD

Yeah I know what you mean. Like I feel like language is devolving, what with text speak and shorthand. It’s kind of sad really.

I'm a high school teacher, and sometimes I'm shocked at my students vocabulary. It's so limited!
They call everything "thing"

looooooooool so its like "oh you know, that THING" XD gosh I can only imagineeee.

It's more like "you have to do that thing you did before, but now with the... the... the other thing".

Unless, of course, there is any kind of math problem which is longer than one line.
- Teacher, I don't understand it.
- Have you read it?
- No, but I don't understand it.
- Then read it.
- Nooo! I said I don't understand it! *pouts*

looks like your students need to crack open a thesaurus loooooooool.
or just read more, either way.......xD i remember my middle school had an independent reading time on certain days and we HAD to read during that time. XD

Yeah, we did that one year, but some of the students managed to waste the time and not read at all.
Which were the ones who needed it the most. Of course.

I don't know, I guess I don't believe in forcing anyone to read.
I think it should be enjoyable - and it's hard for me realizing that for some people it never is.
