http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocaloid Here`s the wikipedia thingy on it, but a vocaloid is like an anime singer, but with a Jpop peep lending their voice. Like Gackt`s vocaloid is Kamui Gakupo.

Isn't it more like those speaking programs but designed to be capable to produce songs because of the people that provided the system their voice? That was my impression of it.

Yus. There's an anime called Vocaloid and apparently a program called Vocaloid. xD; The program I've never heard of until just now and the anime I've only heard of from a friend some months ago. o.o
