Yep, without school you lose the touch to it.
Although I read and play a lot in english. But then you dont speak it.
So my writings are clearly better than my spelling.

Absolutely, my writing is better as well xD
Years ago, I also watched most movies in English. But I don't do that any more, because my partner's english is not good enough to follow the plot then.

Tried that once too, but I have more problems with the american way of putting sound effects, music and speech into one sound file.
So the music and effects are to loud and I dont understand what they are saying.
So I am soon lost as well.

Well, sometimes I have that problem with German Sound files as well... series are fine mostly, but with some movies, we have to turn the volume up and down more than once during the film. Up for talking, down for action...

Oh yeah thats so true.
I am always afraid that tbe tv is too loud and wakes my kid.
So I watch on low and dont understand the most things.

Luckily the only "kid" I have is my partner who watches the stuff with me xD
But I hate to know that one can always hear what we are watching when one stands in front of the apartment door... *sighs*

Nice, thats what I watch mostly too.
Crime and sci fi is my cup of tea.
Do you know the movie Knives out?
It is a new crime comedy movie with Daniel Craig and Chris Evans.
Not much action, but lots of twists and heart and brain.
Highly recommended

OH YES!!! We watched it as soon as it was available to rent in amazon prime and got it on BluRay shortly after.
That movie was insanely good. Funny fact: It literally was the first crime movie ever that I directly knew what was going on and then the movie made me unsure about it xD
(But the best was her inability to lie xD)
I like some sci fi stuff, but not all. Really depends.
