Another thing I like to do is to do my sketch zoomed out so it gives me a better idea of proportions. I've also heard of rotating the canvas 90 degrees because it helps you figure out if the proportions are good. I haven't tried it myself, though. Zooming out also helps me personally because I find it hard to connect lines so I can make long continuous lines without having to connect them. I just learnt to let go of being super accurate. lol

Nah, he was organizing the trip for his coworker who's leaving Canada so he couldn't flake out. Plus, I didn't notice I was sick until he left and we don't live together even if he didn't go camping.

x__x.... headache again. I think I'm dehydrated this time since I forgot to drink much today. =_=
Sorry I haven't been online btw. Holidays, then pokemon came out... then FFXV.. @_@ I'm drowning in games and it's a weird problem to have. (Im grateful lol, but I feel bad ignoring everyone)

Ahaha I can barely get my bf to camp once a year. He'd never ever go without me. I'm the more outdoorsy one. XD (And even then I am not that outdoorsy)

@ memoriam- ahhh there's a ton of open space here since I live in colorado. It's like all hiking trails and outdoor activities, especially since I'm not in denver. (too many people there for me @_@)
ahah I haven't walked in a while. We got some snow and it's been really cold. =_= I hate walking in the cold. it makes my knees hurt.

I'm not sure what program you are using to draw on, but when I started on my tablet and it was all really shaky I was told to mess with the stabilizer (like turn it up to a higher number and see if that helps).
Or if you are using paint tool sai you can do lineart with the line tools. There are a lot of features to help you adjust everything nicely as well as taper the edges of your lines so they look more natural. (I don't use it though because I'm impatient, but I have played with it thanks to a friend and it's really neat).
Another trick I see people use is to blow up your image like really big when you line it and then when you resize it to be smaller the lines will look a lot thinner and smoother. It helps to cover up some imperfections.

Ouch, you have the weather sensitive knees? That sucks

Is that some kind of condition in your case? My bff had a crushed knee by a bus and since then her knee is weather sensitive too. I have the weather sensitive head XD Yeah, it's all about my head, always

I use the Corel Painter Essentials 5, which goes with the tablet. I wouldn't even know how to get another program to work

I indeed began zooming in and drawing lines like that (despite my bf being like "don't zoom in that much, all the mistakes will become visible, draw on small" me: "first, I draw, you don't, second, I can't see where to put lines the way you're telling me

"), but I guess I'll try with the stabilizator and see how it works.

ah D: headaches suck. I also have a weather sensitive head. Or really an everything sensitive head. =_= It feels like anything triggers it. As for my knees, there's no reason really. They've hurt like this since I was a kid, but I didn't have any injury or anything on them.

I feel ya tho. Always my head. I have like 4 different kinds of painkillers around just for all the headaches I get. @_@ But I am getting better at telling what causes each one at least.
My least favorite are the ones I wake up with. Cause those last for like 3 days and get worse when I sleep so I end up being awake too much.

Ohhh I've never used that before. Mine came with clip studio paint, and anime studio. I got SAI from my bestie years ago. I think you can download a free demo of sai from their website. It's really easy to use.

AHAHA you're bf is silly. I draw zoomed in all the time. It's like impossible not to.
But what I meant is to resize your image from say 1000x1000 to 2000x2000 so that it's kinda blurry and way too big. Then you can line it like that and when you change it to 1000x1000 again it'll be smoother. (so not jut zooming in, actually making it bigger).
I don't really make mine bigger than I want them to end up, but I know a lot of people who do and it makes things look nice. It hurts my eyes to have it so big tho. @_@ I just draw big and keep it big, but I have a looooot of practice making things smooth.

but yes I hope the stabilizer helps you. <3

Hm, maybe it's something with your joints then? Maybe it's worth being checked? (you probably did and the doctor said "that's just how you are", I know the doctors are like that in my country

)

ahhhhh ._. I can't afford to see a doctor unless I'm like for sure dying.
(but maybe once my bf is at his job longer he can get me on his medical plan)

The doctor as a kid never said anything. I think it's just how I am.
I know my wrist gets achy in the cold, but I assume that's from how often I draw. ^^;

Riiiight. D: I feel so bad cause I can see myself being a meanie, but I can't stop. =\ I'm so happy I haven't had one of those headaches in a few weeks. :)

Ahaha I am sure you're program is great. A lot of art programs are really neat. I just have little to no experience with anything but photoshop and sai. XD
