Hm, maybe I should cause power outage in my building so that I can focus on writing? . . . Oh, wait, I write on my laptop, nevermind xD I mean, technically I could write in a notebook for a while...

All you technically need is internet shortage. Then there are no distractions.
Well, I mean, there are always distractions, but less :D

I should try turning the wi-fi off sometime, set up an hour or two just for writing and see how I do. But I'm not ready yet, that's so drastic xD

It's better to do it voluntarily than for the the internet to go out without your say-so.
I've drawn up plans on how to start packing my house. Execution of plans is not going as well as I would hope...

I went without internet at my house for two months (luckily in the summer when I was in school and not doing online summer classes because I would have died then) because it just stopped working and the stupid provider wouldn't send anyone out to service it. My mom had many choice words for them because she called so many times. The guy who did finally came to fix it was lucky my mom was not home at the time. Anyway, I thought I would you know, go read a book, work on a hobby I was putting off. Nope. I sat there bored when I was at home because all I wanted to do was get on the internet.

Oh my, so it's true, we ARE addicted to the internet! You'd think one would do anything to not be bored even without it!:mcgasp: I should go detox, but how?!

There should be a National Offline Day, announced like a month ahead and then all the providers should turn the switch off. maybe that would help
I really don't think so, it would probably cause riots...
Do you think our ancestors just sat there being bored all the time?

They must have had tons of ideas to get themselves occupied with something, right? *is in pre-panic mode*

Not even our ancestors: when I was a kid we didn't get a computer until I was about 10 or something, and even then it was a slow old machine. What did I do before then? What did I do on the days when I couldn't get online because someone was using the home phone? I simply can't remember.
Got myself into trouble, probably XD

@memoriam: I have a phobia level fear of bugs, which they seem to be surrounding my packing gear, so I have to muster up my courage and vacuum them up without having a panic attack. Plus I have a lot of stuff I have to shift through and through away which is overwhelming my brain a little more than I thought it would.
I think I played video games and read books a lot more before the internet came around...

Oh gosh that's true, I used to be surgically attached to my Game Boy. Game Boy!! ah man so long ago.
I feel you @Ms_Zuralli. The bug thing would be throwing me off too.
