Aw, too bad

I feel I'm catching something myself, but it'll probably never fully bloom
Haha, so we're at the 'monster' now? I'm fine, holding up somehow. How about you?

Yep! It must be a monster because I don't know what on earth could make someone feel so sick for so long and you still love it? Lol!
Just about everyone I know or have come in to contact with has been sick. Being pregnant -I got to be sick for like twice as long as everyone else. It's been pretty hairy but I'm feeling today like things might be lifting.
I just spoke with one of my doctors nurses and she said it's still okay that my appetite is so bad and she suggested me some things to try so I'm asking hubby to stop and get me things after work. I hope they'll help.

Feel better soon, Lily. I can't imagine being pregnant. You can't take just any old medicine while you're pregnant either, right? I can't imagine being sick with something simple like a cold and not being able to take cold medication.memoriam wrote:Christianity XD It's a neocatechumenate thingy. She likes it because the songs are livlier and the priest isn't always blindly saying "the pope is always right", she told me once that he outright said "the pope is wrong!" so I was like, whoa, hold your horses, I don't think that's what the catholic church teaches.
But they have their masses in some spare rooms in the church, not in the main chamber. And whenever I ask her what things look like in their, she tells me "I can't tell you, you're not the part of it, but you can come whenever you want"... thanks, mom, I think I'll pass

They have some weird meeting outside masses, and with masses they have to prepare stuff (byt hey I mean the participants), as in they preach themselves and they share things in public.
So they are a closed group that does things differently than the main roman-catholic church (although the currect pope approved of their existence, to my knowledge), they don't speak of it outside their group and they take most of the participants' time. It's a sect.
That... huh. There are some things that I think is cool and others that makes it sound worrisome. I know... I'll be finishing the last cola today, then no more of it for me this and next month (and hopefully forever) -.-
lol I would have probably waited to have my coke after my period and have that be my last one X) I like having a little treat after my period.I do drink some herbal stuff, but mostly I drink normal tea. I'm trying out a combo of drinking cammomile and nettle each day, maybe that would do something for my cramps.
lol growing up in Korea the most common tea was barley tea and that didn't have alcohol. I assume by "normal tea" you mean like, black British tea? I don't know how it became the "normal" tea. As far as I know, tea started in India and spread out to China, Korea, Japan, Britain and elsewhere. And now there are some British people around who are trying to say what's tea and what's not. And I'm like, yeah, yeah. Pretty sure we had tea for a lot longer than you did. You saying what's tea and what's not is like a Californian trying to say what's sushi and what's not.
I never noticed any connection between drinking alcohol during pms and boobs or period. But I try to avoid alcohol during the flow, I heard you get drunk faster that way, and I'm not really fond of being drunk

It may be a myth, and the real reason for recommending avoiding alcohol during period is your reason (mor eprobable than mine I think), anyways, I'd rather not risk anything.
I haven't heard that. I haven't noticed it myself, but I'm a lightweight as it is and I don't drink much on my period because I'm worried I'll make a big red spot on my pants.Raine Seryn wrote:I'm picky with alcohol too, but recently I've been really into prosecco since it's cheap and really bubbly. *u* I like to mix it with some juice so it's nice and sweet lol. Makes me feel like I am drinking soda, but I hope it's a tiny bit better for me? XD (that fruit juice has to help a little I hope)
I don't know what it is but doesn't sound like my thing. I don't like fizz too much.
Idk about alcohol on my period, but I know when I drink tea it gets heavier for me. Or sometimes I won't be on my period and I will drink tea and it will like 'provoke' it into starting. (But mine has always been very irregular, so who knows, it might be coincidence lol)
That's really interesting. I do notice that I have heavier flow when I drink tea but really I get heavier flow when I eat ANYTHING. I usually eat 5 times a day except when I'm on my period in which case I only eat 3 times a day like a regular person.
Maybe that's why I experience heavier flow when I drink alcohol; it has nothing to do with the alcohol but everything to do with the fact that I ingested something.
@ sunlight- I did get some sleep later, but I go through random periods of little to no sleep and then suddenly I will be asleep for like 20 hours. @_@
I have been taking som zzz-quil lately since it's easy to get and says it's non-habit forming. It's nice to have once in awhile when I am having trouble, but it doesn't always work. ^^;
Oh wow. That sounds like it'd be troublesome. I hope you've found a more reliable method of falling asleep. This may be crass and TMI but
Spoiler
I find it that I fall asleep much faster if I rub one out first.
But I've also heard that that makes women more alert? Not the case for me. I guess I'm masculine in that sense.

@Lily: Aw, that really sucks you're still sick. And in more sense than just one XD I always imagine catching a cold during pregnancy would be very stressful for me. I'm not sur ewhy though, maybe it's what Ziaheart said with all the medicine you can't take XD And the queues to a doctor can take a week of waiting here in Poland so I can't even think how troublesome it would be.
Anyways, I hope whatever new you get will help you with your appetite *hugs*
@Ziaheart: Yep, but it's mostly worrisome for me
I'm always treating myself on pms and sometimes during the period. Once the flow is done I'm all like going on a diet, start exercising again and all that healthy stuff

I feel guilty for treating myself with all the sweets and carbo and what not.
Yeah, by normal I meant the most common and available (in Europe), so just black tea

Maybe aromatized. It's the only drinkable thing at work that is warm. I'm always cold
The black tea became the "normal" one probably because UK was a very powerful and influential empire, with all the colonies and stuff, so they popularized it the way they wanted to. Since other countries had little to no contact with the Indian or far eastern civillizations...
I get drunk so fast, even without my period, because I'm so small
Also, for the Spoiler content of yours, it's so true, reminds me of middle and high school times XD But the same goes for sex, you sleep like a rock most of the times.
Spoiler
Sometimes when I can't sleep and bf is already sleeping, I just do him, so I can fall asleep. He doesn't mind. I always tell him in the morning, unless I woke him up during doing my stuff. Most of the times he goes "oh, so that's why I had erotic dreams!" or "aww, poor you, did it help?". On rare occassions: "Aw, wish you would've woken me up...". I do it because he gets angry at me if I play with myself and he doesn't get any

Yeah, there are very few medicines you can take while you're pregnant to combat a cold. I've taken some but it's also that your immune system is just not what it should be. Usually if Alan gets sick and I do too - I have the cold for 2 days while he's sick for a week. It's going on 3 weeks of sickness for me now. Thankfully it's mostly just congestion at this point.

Pregnancy is a lot of trouble and sacrifice, isn't it?

Three weeks of cold, just thinking about it causes a headache. I get congestion on daily basis XD but it's still not pleasant ;/

It's different for everyone. They say you can even have different pregnancies - the level of sickness is based on the baby. This baby!!!! At least it means she's very healthy but yes, it's been very hard so far. I'm getting into the second trimester now and it's supposed to start easing up? I'm still waiting for that to happen.

Ahhh I am finally feeling better. @_@ I was sick for like a solid 2 weeks. And now I am way too stressed to sleep because my bf hasn't found a new job yet. =_= So I am trying to draw adoptables to pay bills for now. *cries*
@ Lily- I feel your pain being sick for so long. I am always sick like 2x-3x as long as everyone else. My roommate who got me sick was sick for like 3 days. I was sick for 2 weeks and I'm still couching and a little dizzy sometimes. =_=
Also being preggers sounds like a real hassle. I hope you feel less sick soon. ;_;
@ Zia- I think I read somewhere that tea can make your period heavier, but idk if it was true. I just know it does for me.
Hahaha I normally don't eat a ton, like maybe 2x a day, but on my period I'm a monster and I'll eat anything that comes near me. XD
Spoiler
lol, things like that make me sleepy too. But I've never tried anything like that with the hopes of falling asleep XD But yeah it definitely does not make me alert. My bf will make fun of me after sex because I will straight up fall asleep while he's talking to me

@Lily: Yeah, I heard that, too that every pregnancy is different. Not only the sicknes level but also mood swings, cravings, just about everything can be different , even if it's the same woman being pregnant again.
Let's hope it'll calm down, it must be killing you.
@Raine: Glad to hear you're better

(Now I'm the one coughing and being cold and stuff xD) And sad to hear your financial/sleep problems

Hopefully he'll find something soon, I cross my fingers
Your spoiler made me laugh XD
