Just as an additional idea, my dad always recommends to add a bit of orange juice to pumpkin soup for some fruity sweetness.

Chrizine, most pumpkin soups freeze pretty well. The pureed ones for sure; the ones with pumpkin chunks not as well, but the rest you could do and freeze your extra and then you'd not have too much to handle.
Huh, I've not actually met any guys who didn't like pumpkin soup, but I do know a woman who doesn't care for any of the squashes including pumpkin. Except when it's muffins. She loves it in muffin form.
(Okay that's it. I'm going to make pumpkin soup and it will have orange juice because that sounds good)

Mh, I think I'd want a pureed one in any case... But then again, our freezer is pretty full already. Ah, we'll see.
Do tell me how you like it when you try the orange juice variant! :)

I got distracted by birthday cake and didn't make the soup. That'll have to be tomorrow.

I'm not a fan of pumpkin
Maybe a handful of roasted and salted pumpkin seeds as we carve pumpkins but that's it

I still have orange juice at home, so I might add that to my soup! I still have enough for 2 more days xD (disadvantage of living by yourself only).
Haha sorry I made you crave pumpkin soup as well

No need to be sorry about that... pumpkin soup is delicious. And also relatively healthy, so really nothing to be sorry for.
(Now, if you'd made us crave carrot cake or something decadent like that, it would be another matter

)

But carrot cake is delicious! :)
And I can easily get a piece of it in our uni cafeteria, they make a quite nice one, so I don't even have to make and eat the whole cake ;)

I like carrot cake. But I love spice cake with my mom's homemade peanut butter frosting.
