oh that's a shame. Are you still going to be employed there after the quarantine stuff?

Probably not. They were looking for foreigners/English speakers for the Olympics and since there's no more Olympics this year ...
At least I'm not totally unemployed, I don't need work for my visa and the husband still works as usual. I'm lucky.

Ah...I think the entertaining and culture things are hit the hardest by the pandemic...

Speaking as someone working in theatre, it's a very surreal and worrying time. Funding for the arts have been decreasing in the past decade and there's a fear that once the quarentine gets lifted, funding will be decreased even further because of the economic instability. Meanwhile, the majority of production houses don't have the reserves to cushion the hit that their income has taken...
Sorry, didn't mean to go on a rant there! It's just on my mind a lot right now

Yeah I understand your worries. I think that the arts have to make a shift to survive. Everybody's livestreaming their art right now. It's like the newspapers who had to go digital. Times are changing and the arts have to find a way to follow that.
It's pretty sad...
But I think that people will need entertainment after the quarantine, and that theaters, musea and other art places will be packed.
On a happier note, I need one more top and I have them alkl, then I can move on to the headband extensions!

True, I think it's wonderfull that a lot of theaters are streaming recordings from previous plays as a way to fill the void and I do think that people will want to return to live art in theatres and museums once this has passed (I certainly do!). It's just difficult to look at the future right now, but I think that's the same for everyone.
And good for you! I'm trying to get as many headbands as I can as well; I love how they're such a simple, but fun change to every hairstyle!

I'm originally in tourism. The whole industry is going to be dead for a while.
Japan too has a lot of stuff on streaming, they never stream anything, especially not live performances.
What's sad is that I see more and more people from the entertainment world turning to Youtube trying to do something, anything, just to get a bit of money coming in.
First thing I want to do when this is all over is go to a quiet, old, family owned hotel, lost in the mountains and stay there.

oh a retreat in a calm hotel does seem like a great idea!
Ah, yeah, the youtube craze. I think it's great if people go to youtube, but not with the objective of making money. I love how many famous musicians went live on youtube to perform their songs.
There's a comedian I like who is doing lives on youtube everyday during quarantine, but almost everyday he's praising himself because he gives us "free entertainment". It annoys me because yeah, there's no contract and people don't buy tickets, it's YOUTUBE, but he's still getting donations AND he's growing his community, which is going to pay off a lot later. If he really didn't gain anything and had to do it out of the kindness of his heart only, he wouldn't, and I think people should be honest about that.
It's like people don't understand that youtube, and streaming in general, is another form of entertainment, with other rules. It doesn't necessarily make it less lucrative, just different.
And yeah, I love the headband, it adds a lot to a hairstyle I think. It's a shame it's not compatible with ither items though. IT's a problem I have a lot, that putting one item on an avi removed other items. I WANNA STACK X)

It's interesting to see non-youtubers get on the platform as a way of creating content during this time; as you say, for a comedian is new ground to do 'free entertainment' but there are many content creators who have been giving this free entertainment for years now (supported by Patreon and the like) so it's not that groundbreaking. Though I also empathize with these content creators, as a lot of people look for them as their only entertainment now. That's quite a lot of pressure, especially if they are struggling with coping with these times themselves!
Haha, I know the stacking problem! Although at times it also helps me to not make my avatars to cluttered, which can very easily happen when I just combine too many items :P

I finally got the item I was working towards...now just to start it all over again for the next item.
