Myah: Lowkey one of my favorite actors lol And I say lowkey because I don't typically watch kdramas xD Do you watch Running Man? :o

RIGHT??? I honestly see reaction videos (which is something I NEVER do) about Mamamoo just to feel proud hehe

Julez: There's some pro to that though, not all students start at the same level c:

I watch running man like I would eat. Always.
Not really specific ones, but I watched clips on YT. And then he came out on Gag Concert, and I became even more intrigued!

YES IMMORTAL SONGSSSSS

I am glad you feel better :)

Ah I see, makes sense :) Nice that you live with your boyfriend and that it is affordable to live in Germany and commute :)
Oh yea, student housing is the best thing ever. I couldn't live any cheaper here.
So are you actually from the area near to the Suiss border?

Yea it is time to get back on track with my French :D
Our uni provides us with the test, we have them in all the languages you can study at our uni. And you actually have to take a test, provided that you have previous knowledge. If you don't know the language yet you obviously start with A1.
It sounds super weird to me to let the students guess their own level :o
We did go to the fair yesterday and it was lovely :) Lots of actual craftsmen there that you could watch work as well as buy their products, not just people selling standard stuff. And a gorgeous location - a castle that we visited before and that we thought was kinda lifeless, it benefits so much from having a market held there.

No, I'm actually from northern Germany, near Hannover :D

That sounds like a much better system than ours - here there's just courses of different levels and you need to somehow figure out which one you should enroll in.

That sounds great! I've also been to a market/fair/event at a castle, it is indeed very nice. I am glad you felt well enough to go :)

Oh wow, how did you end up down there then :D?

I agree, this system is quite nice :) Although the test is a joke. You are given a text with gaps which you have to fill in, but half of the word is always given, you have to fill in the rest of the word. That is stupid, you don't even know most of the words and some words are easy things like "yes" "and" "over" so.. Yea, does not really tell you much about your knowledge in my opinion.

It's kind of my mom's fault :D She travelled to Zurich for work reasons and liked it there and then the next time she went she took me with her and I liked it as well. And since ETH Zurich has a good reputation and we were thinking about me maybe studying abroad anyway (I was part of the infamous Doppeljahrgang, one of the first students to do Abitur in 8 years, so german unis and housing in university cities were overflowing that year), we thought it was actually a good idea to try to study there :)
She kind of bribed me into it with cake :D There is this one really great café in Zurich and while we were there, she tried to talk me into it by telling me that she would treat me to it whenever she would visit me ;) She held word, we always go there ;)

That does sound like not the most reliable test ever, yeah...

@nan running man might be my fav variety show. but then there are a lot i want to watch that are never subbed :qcry:
yassss if you liked the gag concert you'll love the drama; that's totally his character in the drama :mcsquee:
the thing about namgoong min is that i fell for him utterly in Chief Kim. then i went to watch Remember just for him, cause i'd heard that was his breakout role. but he was the villain there, a rapist, and that just messed me up. i swear i can't watch actors i love doing characters i absolutely hate :mcsweat: it's literally painful lol

Oh wow that is interesting! Usually parents don't want their children to study too far away from home :D My mum already freaked out about 1 1/2 hours although we are not even close (main reason I wanted to study was to move out :D). Now she is also telling me I should look for work close to their home in the same ratio and I am like "Nope." I won't have a choice, I will stick with every job I can grasp, wherever it'll be. Good thing she doesn't know I want to work and travel abroad as well.

That is a very nice story though, that's great that you always go for cake :)

No, not really xD

Haha, well, I told my mom that I wouldn't study anywhere that she could reach in less than 2 hours, so there was no point for her in freaking out about it :D
I knew I wanted some independence and my mom is the type to visit far too often if it's too easy. She accepted that pretty easily though.
Yeah, with work you really have to see where you can find some and not restrict the area too much. No point in being picky about that, it's better to find a job that you really like :)

It's great that your mum accepted that :) No point in arguing anyway as you already had made your decision :D

Exactly. I will go wherever I can find a job, I really don't care where.
