Agreed! I usually either try to build an avatar around a background or it ends up being a simple colored background or something from the same set I'm using.

I'm usually reminded of whatever day it is by the kind of article I have due that day. Or by the different meetings of the husband.

I'm a sucker for any kind of starry/cloudy sky background. Forests are a close seconds. But I agree backgrounds can be both the easiest and hardest items to use, they can really make or break a look.

One of my favorite background ever is the Moonchild BG, it has a wonderfully pretty night sky.
Close second is the Seraph BG, all its declinations are just so pretty.

Sometimes it's just easier to not have a background

What's bothering me is not to have anything to look forward to.
I mean, before I was waiting for the week-end as the days I could spend a lot of time with the husband, now we're together all the time.

I mostly like to have backgrounds, usually I go for sky-themed ones. I'm a sucker for all of the night style ones, too.
If nothing else fits, the teal moon and swiff is always a good option ^^
I find it sometimes hard to get backgrounds matchy enough but not too matchy. I loved using some old not remade ones because they were just off enough to work perfectly for me.
