A lot of libraries have them, you could check there? I don't know how good the translation is but Shards of Honor, Barrayar, and Warrior's Apprentice have all been translated into German.
Scherben der Ehre, Barrayar, und Der Kadett (aber sie haben verschiedene Ubersetzen)

I usually prefer to read english books in the original language, so I probably wouldn't find them in a library here. But there's used ones on amazon for pretty alright prices, so that's fine.

Sorry, what is the name of the series, Akili? I see a lot of random book titles, but how is the series called?
I prefer reading books in their original language as well :)

It's called the Vorkosigan Saga. By Lois McMaster Bujold
Spoiler
Cordelia from that series is one of my favorite characters ever, even if she already started out as an adult with emotional maturity.
Just because there was less room for obvious growth doesn't mean she doesn't end up growing and developing anyhow, by exploring different aspects and even in one of the hardest ways to show growth -learning how NOT to exert power.
Lots and lots and lots of books out there demonstrate characters FINDING their personal power and learning to exert it (especially YA novels) but very few write about learning to tell when it's important NOT to do so, and developing self-restraint. I admire that character so much
I like original-language, too, but I also like reading a book BEFORE I spend the money to buy and own it, so I'll read a translation in a library before I'll spend the money on buying it in the original language, to at least give me a little more of a notion.

I see your point :) I guess I agree? But I never get books from the library. I buy books based on recommendations. Oftentimes I know the movie and if I like it very much I get the book.
