Kingdom of Knuffel

My son loves Pokemon, and I would not mind finding something to play with him. But it's hard cause I want something we could both enjoy.

I have a farm-style android game with dragons which he likes.
And I even tried an old GameBoy Pokemon game I had lying around - but he did not love but I suppose it's just too old fashioned.

Is it because of the graphics or the play style?

If it's the play style, try sword or shield.. or the Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The play styles are different from the originals.

If it's just that the graphics are too old from the old games, try the remakes. Same story with better graphics.


I'm not much of a multiplayer type person so I have no game recs >A< Sorry.

The play style, he's quite young and some games are confusing for him.

We are not multiplaying though, we kinda "share" the control. I accompany him and talk about the game and make him suggestions.
That's why he are playing this farm game, cause there is enough to do to not get bored but it's slow-paced enough to explain him what to do.

I'm into strategy and simulation kind of games myself, so I hope he eventually grows fond of them :D

I can't think of games for kids except for the ones I played as a kid... Super Mario Bros. Duck Hunt. Battle Toads. Kirby, Frogger... Then when I turned 8 I got Pokemon Blue for my birthday along with a Purple Gameboy. Oh.. Pac-Man and Zelda.. o3o

Still pissed my sister stole my NES and gold case Zelda game >:x

Yeah, I'm sure I could ask you all about great games, it's just that he's quite young. And also he tends to give up too easily <_<

I had my old SNES console and I tried some games with him.
Mario Bros. was one of them, also Asterix (he loves those comics!), but apparently they are not his style.

Gosh now I want to get Arceus game lol. But. Eh. I dunno if I even will play it right now lol. Maybe later. XD
