And yeah you just got me and my husband into a philosophical, theoretical conversation about energy and human evolution etc XD
Can you imagine an alternate universe where instead of setting a rock on fire, Humans actually harnessed solar and wind energy first?

HA! You made me google the etymology of shit. It's actually latin as most things are. You know, I have a theatre degree and when I used to house manage for the dance performances, they explained something to me.
They don't say, "Break a leg" to dancers like they do to actors because that'd be horrible luck and the end of a career probably. What they do say is "Merde!" which is the French word for shit, because dance troupes used to dance in the streets where horses had been, and they would call out to one another to avoid, well... the shit. XD

Fun fact, I actually fell in... merde, during a marching band performance once XD not fun.
*googles that* The phrase "pardon my french" came from the early 1900's when people actually used french words there weren't really english equivalents for, and would apologize after. Most often being rude terminology or swears, apparently the French have a lot of those XD

We do have a lot of swearing words ^^ (I might live in Japan but I'm French ^^)
Nowadays swearing is a bit boring but in the early 1900's it was a swearing fest.
And we're not aggressive. We just like to complain about things ^^
(well OK, maybe we're a bit aggressive when we don't like something)
And I didn't even know you also say "merde" in other countries. To be honest we use it as a "good luck" word pretty much all the time, especially before exams.
(Sorry for the random French girl appearance XD)

The French has spies watching us D: xD
*old person voice* Back in my day swearing was bad...
A friend of mine went to France (or Italy, unfortunately I cannot remember which one) and she told me that the oh so stereotypical romantic males there were not like the sterotypes at all XD (So like not romantic and stuff)

Spying is my hobby. I spy everything. Right now I'm on a mission to spy on japanese food ^^
Then it's probably France. To be honest, I find Japanese men a lot more romantic than French ones. But maybe that's just the men I have met.
Italian men on the other hand are pretty true to stereotypes and try to seduce everyone
