I'm exactly the same as you guys! Backgrounds are hard.
I like the ones that are not updated to match the colours of the site a lot, because they often fit without blending too much. But they get fewer...
Moon and swiff is my go to if nothing seems to work.

My go to background is definitely the plain background XD I usually try to make up for it by using other background items or borders. I find it hard to use designed bsckgrounds.

I find it hard to use the ones that have very contrasting colours without one being used only as a little accent.
Then I always want to have at least one of them in the avi as well and it blends weirdly somewhere.

Yeah, I have a hard time balancing it because if it doesn't match good enough, then it doesn't look right. But if it matches too good, then the avi just blends into it!

Yeah, that's exactly the problem!
I sometimes like taking up the colour of the avi just in the eyes and maybe some small accessories, that can work.

No, I don't think I have any. Rather, I have frames that I regularly use.

Haha ever since the celtic knot borders came out I've been obssessing over them.

I use a lot of the leafy backgrounds from the shop.

I find those really hard to use because they have so many contrasting colours! How do you do that?
