I love tea, but I've always made it the same way.
Pour hot water over leaves, let steep.
Surely there are fancier ways to brew tea, and maybe Hotarla can share some pro tips!

I don’t really have pro tips? XD the only thing i do is something my mom told me i should do and that’s the wash the tea leaves.

Normally, its best to use a stainless steel or clay/porcelain pot but we don’t have that here so i use those coffee mug brewers things. Then, i put the loose tea leaves into my teapot and wash the leaves 2-3 times. I swill the tea in the pot, making the stainless steel/clay/porcelain pot warm. After washing the tea leaves 2-3 times, i start to steep my tea lol. XD. At work, since i don’t have a teapot, i use a tea strainer, pour my leaves in that, wash the tea leaves similarly before i start to steep my tea. Washing the leaves is something my mom told me to do, since you don’t know where the tea leaves have been. It also washes a bit of the tannins away. So yeah. Not really a pro tip, i just make tea for anyone who wants it because its just something I’m doing “on the way” since I’m making tea anyway. It’s just a matter of using more tea leaves lol.

I get sleepy after eating, even if I don't each much, I still doze off. But the phone wakes me from my naps >:x

Yeah you wash the leaves in hot water. It can get rid of some of the tannins and also, the leaves may be dusty or have other stuff. My mom washes them like you would wash…rice or something. XD;; its just an extra precaution. And by swilling the water in your teapot, you can warm it up and kinda rinse it.

Gosh so i just received a call from what sounded like an elderly customer. He sounded….quite distraught, saying that he had received two bills for an order he just received. I…don’t deal with customers all that much, i really just redirect them to the store or to my supervisor. But my supervisor had just stepped out for a moment and here i am, with this customer, and I’m like “what am i supposed to DOOOO??” And I’m already bad enough with phones so the caller’s attitude was also affecting me and i was starting to panic inwardly about what i was supposed to do. So, i parked them and was about to call someone who could help when my supervisor came back in and i told her about the call. But the man i think had disconnected the call or hung up or something…8U

Luckily, they called back and i was able to transfer the call. I dunno WHAT she said or did but she seemed to deal with it VERY quickly…8U while here i am just panicking quietly in a corner lol. XD;;

Sometimes our body needs a reset, even if we don't understand why.

I'll definetely try rising them. It's really worth a try, not much an effort anyway and the tanins may be a relevant thing.
Right now I'm even tempted to buy some varieties I usually don't like, just in case the rising makes them more interesting.
I'm getting excited!

Rinsing you mean? XD I’m like “what’s rising, I’ve never heard of rising tea lol.” Sounds like you’re trying to turn tea into bread lol. XD

Yeah my supervisor was able to resolve it, and told me not to worry because it was for a store receipt from an elderly customer who was like…90. 8U dunno if you know how elderly ppl get when they think they were charged for something they didn’t pay for….xD;;

Anyways I’m just glad the problem was resolved…8U I’m always afraid I’ll do something wrong and get the boot. I try to be careful but mistakes are bound to happen…><
