So I'm trying to say something and my brain blanks out.

Me: Crap. I had something to say and it went out the door.
My daughter: You should close the door next time so it won't get out.
Me: Why didn't I think of that.

My daughter's home from school because her leg is hurting badly and she's limping. Tomorrow we have a doctor's appointment to find out what's wrong. The school nurse called and told me. She said she saw no bruise so we can rule out bumping it on something.

Yeah. Poor kiddo. I think she pulled a muscle from sleeping in one of her weird positions, but you never know.

Although sometimes I wonder about the future of the English language especially when we keep talking in slang and shorthand. Like “ttyl, I’ll brb l8er, lol.” Like what kind of English is that????
