I was born in England, actually, but I moved to Japan when I was 3 so I have no memory of being in England as a child.
When I was 10 I moved to Spain, and when I was 13 I moved to England. I went back to Japan for 2 years when I was 18, and I came back to England to pursue my studies.
So pretty mixed really... But since I spent the majority of my formative years in Japan, I feel I was brought up there.

Hello Mrow ^_^
You don't need to be a Japan expert to like anime and manga! Pokemon is great :D

Haha, I agree with @Jessicat XD you don't have to be an anime and japan culture expert just to fit yourself in. We welcome everyone here, regardless of your interest and cultural beliefs :) and oh before I forgot, welcome to our hang out @Mrow. We encourage you to stay active and feel free to chat with us whenever you like! I love Pokemon too, pika pika!!!
Has anyone of you in Flight Rising? They have an on going week-long event called "Waverest Saturnalia" right now. So I'll be popping up here and there, every once and a while. I need to collect some stuff for the event :)

You're very much welcome @Mrow :)
Flight Rising is a dragon breeding site. Wavecrest Saturnalia is an event celebrating the Water Flight. Every last week of each month, they do this kind of festivities for their members. There are a total of 11 Flights (factions) and I belong to the Light Flight ^^
Oh I just love sushi and tempura!
and Takoyaki & Okonomiyaki too :3

Wow, that sounds like quite an awesome little community to be a part of. Does each flight specialise in something different? Do you compete on who can breed the best dragon or something?
Ok, I can say with great confidence I know what takoyaki is. The first time I had it, my friends convinced me it was alive as the steam was causing the bonito flakes to wave about. Anyways, it was love at first bite

. Favourite entree at a Japanese restaurant, hands down.
Hi Jessicat. Fun fact: my real life name is Jess and I really like cats. I can tell we'll get along great

Mrow - This is fantastic! *high fives* I love your screen name by the way. It's so cute! I didn't think hard enough when I chose mine
I'm not such a big fan of those Western Japanese foods like takoyaki and okonomiyaki... I suppose it's because my mother doesn't really like them. But my boyfriend is a huge fan of okonomiyaki so I make it for him sometimes.
I have a sneaky suspicion that what he really likes is the sauce though...
Are they entrees? I always thought of them more as street food.

Aww thanks Jess. I like yours too, I think it's very creative!
I wasn't aware takoyaki was a Western Japanese food. I know the california roll is though

I always think of them as entrees because they're listed as such in the Japanese restaurants here. You probably know much better than me about this stuff so let's settle for them as being street food. ^^;
-joins in the fielkun poking- Has he dieded?
