Yeah... it's not like it would actually hurt anything, so no harm in trying for the blessing! :qwhee:

Hey there! Sorry that I disappeared (not that anyone missed me.. :D). I was not really in the writing mood.

I love urban legends!
Akili, yours sounds interesting!

We have one as well, it is connected to the park architect/designer. He hung himself there after finishing a huge part of the city park.
Today this park is super creepy at night (no lights, wild animals :D) so that a few crimes happen there from time to time, especially at night of course. People say it is the curse of the architect. He killed himself because people were unhappy with his way of designing the park.

I don't think we have urban legends here

I think not too long ago we had an urban legend about some ghosts/entities in the forest near me, but I think it was just temporary because I didn't hear about it since it was hyped up.

it's fun to see a touch of mystery in peoples' lives, and the social convention means you don't ever have to take them seriously enough that it's worth debunking, so it's a bit of flavor/color that is allowed to persist instead of being ruthlessly disproven and rooted out.

I always wondered why so many different countries had similar tales and creatures.
I found a documentary-like show that explained how humans think and feel and that we're all basically the same, so that's why so many countries have similar legends and monsters.
It makes sense, but it kind of made me sad xD

It's okay, we all have real lives to deal with and have to disappear from time to time.

Wow, that is an incredibly sad story. :mcgloom:
