I need to get this off my chest because fucky fuck
So I went to the interview, okay? and I got LOST even though I KNOW the area (what the fuck am I even who does that but anyway) and did I fucking mention it was raining buckets of freaking water? thank GOD (or satan) that I decided to bring an umbrella. jesus. So the world is pretty much conspiring against me, right, and yet I march towards my destiny! I manage to get there on time like the guy told me to on the phone. despite being lost. I am a superwoman.
cue interview, I did my research and the guy seems pretty impressed if I do say so myself. he talks about $$$ and my freaking jaw drops because DAMN SON that's very good pay hook a sista up dawg but anyway things seem okay, he is again very impressed at my knowledge of their social work with various institutions, so impressed in fact that he tells me he doesn't even know with which institutions they work (he clearly didn't expect anyone to ask, points for casey hola), he doesn't even FLINCH when I tell him I'm a vegetarian
... but then I tell him that I am taking a four day trip in April. for a restaurant that is going to open in March and only closes on Monday... fuck.
they needed to know. it's important to disclose this early on because if they hired me and I straight up told them about the trip when the restaurant opened that would be fucked up. like BEYOND fucked up. I would have lied about my availability and I am not down with that. but I think my birthday trip might, just might, have fucked this opportunity up for me. and I am not going to deal well if they tell me they won't hire me because of the trip. they needed to know, though. but shit.

Well hell, I mean you were downright perfect otherwise. I probably would've still hired you, and been fine with the whole thing because I was warned beforehand.
Maybe since you did so well, if you don't get the job you'll be a shoe-in for the next time.

I don't know... I guess I have to hope I impressed the guy enough to give me a chance. He said he'll call next week so I have a lot of days to anxiously look over all the things I did wrong
