it's not a matter of "if", Firn already showed and confirmed the new layout is white because she said it's the colour that matches more easily with everything (paraphrasing) but you guys aren't alone, a lot of people have been saying the whiteness is too much for sensitive eyes, maybe she'll create a moon layout as well eventually :>

definitely! hopefully with many people saying the white layout might be too bright Firn will consider a simple, darker layout recolour that people can opt to use.

I was on the site Subeta, and it had different layouts.
It was neat.

the tears will be flowing
that makes me sad because the same thing happened when they did the new background. ): I understand they want the site to look good and to match but like... what about everyones eyeballs? im not trying to be a butt but i feel like our eyeballs are more important than matching colors...
a darker one will really be necessary, or many people including myself will not be able to stay on the site for long.
i literally always have the brightness on my monitor allll the way down and i have even used other programs to dim the brightness further because all the way down is never enough. there is nothing that i can personally do to make it easier on my eyes if the layout is white.
even with the blue added to the background, the white is still a bit too much for me, though it is wayyyy better than it was originally. but feeding my knuffels is usually hard now because its sooo white

Yeah, some people said the same thing and she basically said the colour is fine on her end and therefore the brightness must be too high on people's monitors, so *shrug* sorry but I'm really not sure how that's gonna work out

Unless everything is bright, I won't have a hard time.
Like how it is now - it's bright, but there's more than just white, which helps even it out.
If it's just bright colors, I can't even xD
