pffffft i think its harder to learn a language in a class than it is if you were to learn it yourself. xD;; like i find that if i watch something in a different language with subtitles, i'm more likely to learn a bit of the language than if i had to take a class for it.
I was pretty good at all the languages at school (B in German, A in Russian), I just didn't care to continue them later because blergh, German/Russian, ew, lol.

Ah, ok, you were only tipsy then. That I can understand, posting while tipsy.
Hopefully you did not do that (regretable) phone call!

I don't think you can't learn grammar watching movies. You can catch words though, I think it's good to improve vocabulary.
But for grammar, sentence construction and all that, I think classes are the second best option - because nothing beats moving into another country!
I did not, my rats distracted me

Idk, my dad said we drank a lot, so I believe him XD Maybe just not to the point of getting smashed. In that case I never get drunk, just tipsy more or less.
There are several techniques to learn a language and it also depends on a person's learning style. I believe there are 4 or 5, not sure. But watching/listening to content in another language actually also teaches you grammar, just not the theory but more of the practical use. Some people need to understand the rules of the language first before they can communicate in it, though.
