Kingdom of Knuffel

Kai needs a reason to do stuff. Before Brianna dies, he's just doing things for the heck of it since it's fun and interesting. I was against removing any of my characters from the story, but a friend pointed out Kai's lack of actual reason (aside from the fact that Kai's just the righteous, energetic, optimist that lacks reason) and made the suggestion, so I had to do something about it. Though, I still kind of perserved her in a way that fits in with the story. The world is already completely developed, so that helped.

Move on? Not really time for that in the story. In a way I guess. The death isn't for romance, it's for purpose, and the character in question is Kai. It gives Kai an actual reason to keep going on the adventure and see through to the end of it. It also marks the start of his actual character development. Also, Kai dies at the very end of the story, so he doesn't really have a chance to find someone else to like. Not that he was probably going to anyway. He gets to see Brianna in the aftermath of the story though (for reasons that I can list if you really wanna know)!
