No! :) Thankfully my hard drive actually survived the ordeal. O.O So I was able to just move everything over. <3
I can't find any way to turn off this weird feature on the new keyboard, though. I assume its part of the keyboard driver, so I'm just hoping an update is released that will fix it. It's the most ridiculous thing. XD;

I was pretty upset. It took about a year before I could buy the new one, but I love it, so it's all good. :P (Except the dumb keyboard nonsense. XD)

I've got a Lenovo Ideapad now. It's a little chunkier/heavier than I would have liked, but it can do pretty much anything I can throw at it (I'm a gamer), and the red back-lighting on the keyboard is nice. XD
I was a little hesitant to buy it, since I've had HP the last few times, but I'm really pleased overall. :)
