I might get a better case for treemas, I know mom's talking about a wallet case since after my old phone's otterbox got worn enough, I used it as a wallet

I mean, the bit about new phone possibly for winter-holiday-resembling-Christmas, because of something your mom said, that part I think I understood? But otter boxes and samsung galaxies and how they become wallets is very confusing.

My new phone is a Samsung Galaxy S9+, I got it back in August

I refer to christmas as treemas

Otterbox is a very durable type of phone case
The otterbox on my previous phone was worn enough I could open it up and use it as a wallet
Mom knows this, so she might get me a wallet case for my current phone

I'm thinking about just getting a used phone. It's only like 345 compared to the 1k of a new phone. Still a lot, but a much more manageable price per month.

I had the money and I knew the price tag was coming lol
Still startled the guy when he told me the price and all I gave him was a neutral "okay"
With the case and stuff grand total went up to bit over $1100 but instead of the standard 10% off the accessories I got 25% off "for being great customers" aka being in context inappropriate and making him laugh for five minutes :')

1.7k from work, cuz live at home, summer job, no bills
Cuz of the whole contract thing I couldn't pay it all, $10 had to go to the contract so right now mom's paying less than fifty cents a month lol
Otherwise it prolly would've been about $50/month for it
Base phone was $970, divide by 24 for two year contract, get $40.42/month, bump it up for interest or some such
And the rest went to the case, screen protector, etc

For the in context inappropriate:

so the guy we saw knows what he's doing, hell he asked us why we were paying so much for a data cap on the main internet and got us on unlimited for less, about $100/month less. So you know, good guy and all that. Plus that got him to commission which was more of a bonus
So he and mom were talked about parents, and apparently the dude's mom is a nutjob. So it went down like this:
Mom: wow, I'm glad I don't know your mom
Dad: -looks at me, smartass to me of voice- I know your mom!
Me, without slipping a beat: you fucked my mom!
Mom: [KIT]!
I got a Gibbs smack from dad too lol
