I don't want to think about it x.x Do you think it's because of the perks or it's just the season? I mean, xmas and all that, people usually spend on gifts not things like kofk ;/

Possibly both?

I once talked to a RL friend about online forums, and he mentioned that they were losing popularity. With so many other things to do online, it can get pretty competitive to remain as engaging/entertaining, you know? Most people don't commit to more than one or two forum sites, and how many people actually buy cash items from multiple pet/avvie sites?

I used to spend money on Gaia, ages ago, but not anymore. And I'm active here and on FlightRising, but I only buy cash items on here, and a big reason for it is to support Firn. That's me with a job. If you have a younger group (like teens) or people who don't have stable finance, then you won't be able to gather enough financial support.

If I had a job I'd donate to get 20 fairy coins when I can, not often but you know..once every so often when things allow it.


tbh kofk is the first avi site I've liked in a long time besides ernya in terms of the art and people.

I hate the thought of Kofk getting shut down. It's the only site I'm on. I really like the atmosphere in here. Art and items are a nice perk I've been here for years and I can't really imagine not having it in my life.
On the other hand, I've been raised cheap so if I don't necessarily need something, I usually won't buy it. Probably that's why it took me so long to decide to ever donate here. (Not counting the fact that euro is expensive for me ;/)

KofK is the only site I currently feel a sentimental attachment towards, and this is due to the relationship I've built up with Firn and all the users on here. Because I know Firn works so hard to try and keep it running, ever since I've been back, I've tried to donate regularly.

I'm not the type of person who'd prescribe to paid subscriptions for something, but with this site, monthly payments are more considered as a support to Firn, so I have no problem with it. If you consider your buying stuff on here as helping out a friend and also that friend thanking you through the items/FCs, then it's easier to donate.

I guess it's both, too.
And I also agree, I think it's likely that those kind of web sites lose their attraction with all the other possibilites and offers on the internet..

@Mika: That's a nice explanation. That is why I wanted to make regular donations from now on, even if the items may not be to my liking, because they're only items and I could always get rid of them in more than one way, but I wanted to donate for the experience of being here, not just for the items.
But now I'm short half salary and I wonder if I should go through with that decision still ;/

@Julez: Lol, you reminded me, my therapist said some time ago that we should start making some gatherings XD And that mad eme laugh because, come on, how? XD We're from all over the world, the best way we can connect is to exchange what's app phone numbers and skype/discord/other similar user names to stay in contact just in case
