I would have to second with Moi. The Wonderland set that came out felt very....lacking to me. A part 2 would be a good addition. Maybe flower heads or something about the petals as hair and the faces being contorted to be very flower like? I'm not good at describing but something like in any of the movies done when Alice meets the talking flowers. Maybe even holding items with "Drink Me" and "Eat me" on it.
For my own thoughts, I think maybe more animal parts like large mouse ears, folded ones, or one with a curved hole in one of them or the fluffy chow chow dog ones.

Is there any chance they can be brought back.
I don't think Firn will bring the old ones back. This has been discussed. The reasons why the hair changed was to update the color schemes to match more of the items now. And the reasons why the pirate and devil stuff as been updated is because Firn didn't like how it looked before and she felt like they needed to be better.

Masquerade SetThe premise of this set is reflective of the masquerade style as represented in this reference picture.
Items of this set would include…
~Masquerade Dress {A Victorian-era, gothic-styled, corset-top dress, with black lace accents above the bosom, a flourished, black lace-accented crinoline, and a corset-like slimness to the abdomen, similar in style to the dress illustrated in the reference picture above. The dress should be in a dark plum purple or dark black, with accents of pale purple or dark pale gray along the abdomen, originating between the bosoms and ending at the crinoline.}
~Masquerade Fan {A Victorian-era, gothic-styled lace fan, with a black lacquer handle, elaborate lace fringed margins, and intricate ivory accents on the separators, similar in style to the fan in this illustration, in a color that compliments the dress, such as a dark black color for the majority of the lace, with dark plum purple or dark pale gray lace accents.}
~Masquerade Gloves {Long, delicate gloves that extend from the fingertips to directly above the elbow with black lace accents above the hemline, similar in style to the gloves in the reference picture above, in a color that compliments the dress, such as a dark plum purple or dark pale gray.}
~Masquerade Parasol {A black lace parasol, with a black lacquer handle, elaborate fringed margins, and intricate ivory accents on the handle, in a similar style to the parasol in this illustration and this illustration, in a color that compliments the dress, such as a deep black color for the majority of the lace, with dark plum purple or dark pale gray lace accents.}
~Masquerade Lips {A pair of slightly pursed lips, similar in style to the Valentine ’10 Lips, in a dramatic shade that compliments the dress, such as a dark plum purple or a pale purple.}
~Masquerade Hair {Dark, silky, curled locks pulled back into a messy yet classic styled bun, similar in style to the hair illustrated in the reference picture above, with soft banana curls framing the face. The hair should be dark in color, such as a dark black or dark plum purple.}
~Masquerade Eyes {A pair of dark colored eyes with an elegant gaze and a poised expression, in a color that compliments the dress, such as a dark black, a dark plum purple, pale dark gray, or a pale light purple. Directly above the eyelids, between the eye socket and the brow line, should be shaded a light, yet dramatic color, indicating that the subject is wearing eyeshadow. The eyeshadow should be in a complimentary color to the dress, yet alternate with the color of the eye. For example, if the eyes are dark plum purple, the eyeshadow should be a pale light purple, and vice versa. The eyebrows should be neat and trimmed, with a prominent yet subtle arch above the eye socket, such as seen in this illustration.}
~Masquerade Neckpiece {A Victorian-era, gothic-styled black lace neckpiece, with beaded accents, and an intricate ivory pendant, similar in style to the lace neckpiece in this illustration. The beaded accents should be in a complimentary color to the dress, such as a pale dark gray, a dark plum purple, or a pale light purple.}
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I think it would be wonderful to have more moth like items such as maybe fuzzy moth antenna and a fuzzy moth top/body, or a fuzzy moth collar that goes around the neck sort of like a cowl, maybe even extend it out to being a cropped shirt or perhaps maybe even a long sleeved jacket that cropped as well.
maybe it comes in the colors: Burgundy, Midnight Blue, Brown, White, Black, and Midnight Purple.

I'd love to see a muscular skin, for a warrior. Still in the same avatar body shape but with abdominal muscles and sinewy definition in the arms and chest. Something that would make him look like a strong protector, and in a variety of colors, maybe as part of a Rikashitsu shop update.

I don't know if this has been listed, looked couldn't find but it'd be neat if there was a Rasta style items in general or dreads hair.

I'd love an item that made your base invisible as well as a bald hairstyle. That way, if you went bald and then you used the invisibility item, you would be able to have items that looked like they were floating. I would love to have randomly floating mantra on a white background. <3

I don't know if that'll be done. Some of the older items, Firn doesn't like showing the part which are supposed to be covered up by the body, since she didn't spend as much effort with that part seeing as how it'd be hidden. Plus, going bald, while I would love this option, would make a lot of hair accessories look funny, because they'd be floating above the head.
