I would get him presents if I could afford to though. Who knows I may get him something still.

Yeah, I know it's not always possible or wise to buy gifts.
Everyone spends money differently anyways --and that's without taking in the bills/necessities.

Hi everyone! The term is almost finiiiiiiiiished. I'm sort of free now ;A; I missed out a lot of pages and I don't think I can read all of the things I missed. How has everyone been though?
I went out Christmas shopping today for my family and 2 secret santa receivers. I was so tempted to buy some items for myself too ;A;

Welcome back! I've been good, being both free and busy in turns. I got most my Christmas stuff done last week, with only a handful of things to prep for now before our big church event on Saturday. (That's also when I'm giving a bunch of gifts to my fam.)
I still need to make a few more candy sleighs, make spam musubi for an event, and also buy poinsettias to gift some people. And wrap a White Elephant gift.
What items were you eyeing for yourself?

Christmas and work are slowly killing me. So much to do and so little time to do it.

Omg I was just reading on imgur about these people that put themselves knowingly into debt to buy christmas and birthday presents for their kids. Like... are you dumb? Talk to your kids. Get them other kinds of gifts that don't cost money like hand made or outtings etc.

@Eva: Well, they probably really want their kids to have gifts, which is a dumb move in the long run, I agree, because if they can't pay off the debt, their kids will probably inherit it... with interests and stuff...
But unless the kids are taught the value of money, they will be very whiney about no gifts/cheap gifts if their parents decide on it though... But that's a wiser move in the long run.

I will say, home made gifts can cost a lot too.
Crafting things isn't that cheap. Unless it's like say with super cheap things in which case then it's likely to fall apart.
That said I might be selling my bike next week and so might be able to get Peter a present... I just don't know what so it may just end up being his birthday present

My mom would spend a lot of money on presents if no one was there to stop her. It scares me sometimes.
