I hated that.

like that's not how you teach people how to talk louder
Wow, that sounds ... messed up. I have never heard of that ever being done before.

So if enough time has passed, then chances are good someone threw a shitfest about it and it no longer happens

Probably me.. I remember later on refusing to use it and complaining to my parents.

That said, I don't know why my parents didn't think oh maybe she (meaning me) needs speech therapy stuff.

Since when does talking quietly mean speech therapy required?

Because even now I still talk quietly.

I have to generally repeat myself or when I do try to talk louder it gives me a sore throat later on.

I also had ear issues a kid, I think it's possibly related to why I speak quieter.

looking back, I honestly don't think my parents realised I had anxiety as a kid. Just thought it was shy thing.. who just got nervous a lot.

I also am a quiet speaker. If I'm not mad or annoyed that is. My nerves sometimes get the better of me. Even bf sometimes doesn't hear me or I have to repeat myself. And then when I get too excited or irked, everybody's weirded out that I'm not quiet anymore. Only my therapist was like "yass, gurl, gimme more of that sass, that's YOU!" XD
I've never had ear issues though. I guess it's just how I speak. I never thought to get any speech therapy. I don't think it's such an issue for me because I don't like to talk anyways. I prefer to listen. Or eavesdrop >:3 lololol

mem, your avi is lovely :)

Well, speech therapy is not for everybody.
My ex stuttered and he was sent to do speech therapy even though he didn't want to and he said it did him more harm than good.
