Yeah, I'm still working through all the mental problems my parents caused me xD I don't talk to them at all anymore.
Also here's a thing about the sparking joy philosophy: a lot of things spark joy for me. like, a lot XD XD So it wouldn't even help me to go through things on this basis anyway XD

Yeah, decluttering virtually is pretty hard. My first attempt at that was many, many years ago, when my boyfriend got bored of pleasing me by creating an account on kofk and I took over to make it my mule...

I wasn't about to make him stay here, so I took advantage xD But since then... that shit piled up
I was doing fine back when I still remembered the names of sets, older and newer, and I could recognize them etc. But those times are long gone. Too little time, too much going on in the Kingdom and I lost all control over my inventory, what I use often, what I don't use at all or rarely... And don't get me started on the wrongly tagged items
Anyways, when I declutter (physically or virtually), I take several factors into account:
1. Do I need this thing?
2. Do I like this thing?
3. Can I fit this thing?/Can I incorporate it into my space/an avatar?
4. When was the last time I used it? How often do I use it?
5. Does it hold any sentimental value?
I don't know where that "spark of joy" would fit

The only reason I even know of Marie Kondo is literally because of memes lol
And yeah, that's freakin' true, @Amura. But even my physical clutter doesn't actually clutter, it's rather neatly organized and I have the room for it, it's just that I still think I should get rid of it since I don't use it, but I can't bring myself to do so lmao.
@jacobgrey, I'm glad you managed to get away from such toxic people. :)
And same, I get happy at the littlest, dumbest things lmao
@memoriam, I have no method and I don't care to declutter. :)
I've made peace with myself lol

The first time I heard about Marie Kondo was actually in Japan when I was stopped and interviewed in the street. The journalist asked me what I thought of her talking to objects and I was like "She WHAT?!"

I like this way of thinking. I've also a few "can I use that here?" and a "How easily would I be able to replace it if it became needed?".
And wouldn't the spark of joy belong to the sentimental value category? Because the picture of my ex definitely has sentimental value but it also definitely doesn't spark joy.
(I cut it and threw it away XD Somehow that sparked joy.)

I'm much more of a hoarder in this virtual world.
Things do not take space, for me browsing the wardrobe is not a burden, and I never know if I'll end up using items. I've owned things I thought were not my jam (certain colors for example) and I ended up using them a lot...
In real life things that you don't use are clearly in your way, using the space you would need for something else you would like more.
In some cases, even the space you would need to walk thru a room without crashing against stuff

Hey, people, the caravan is back!
Do you like the new item?
It's not much my style, but I don't mind because I still have so many stuff to quest :D

I thing it's super cute but unfortunately I can't see myself using it very often

So I guess I'll pass, especially I don't post that much.

I'm after the hairs, as usual. That's the kind of item I rely on to make avatars, so I'll focus on that.
Btw you have a gorgeous avatar

I'm picky with hairs, the ones that remained are not really my thing (fortunately, after the Vinerys disaster I know for sure I wouldn't stand a chance to buy all the colors). I'm collecting donuts for the Full Lips, although I still need to decide whether I want all the colors, or just the ones I'm most likely going to use.
Thank you, I've been fiddling the past couple days and I can't make up my mind on what I want. So I'm just switching all the time XD

I like how the Lilian Hair falls over one eye, it's got an interesting vibe.
The Short Bob Hair is a classic haircut, not big nor loud, you could use it in combination with plenty of headgear.
The Vitry Hair is voluminous and a has an active-looking feeling to it.
Well, I do like them all xD
Those Full Lips are nice, but I already own plenty of lips I like.
I probably will try to get some before they leave (there is still plenty of time!) in those colors in which I don't own any lips yet.
The color scheme you've chosen is very interesting, I love it.
