Yeah, heat would be good but too much causes its own troubles. I do find that it is perfect baking weather, because nobody minds the extra heat from the kitchen :qh:

oh that's not good timing! Although I guess better now than later in the winter when it's even colder.
I don't tend to think of fireplaces as being very effective heating devices but I suppose it depends on the design. What kind do you have? (Or... did you have, since I guess it might change)

Wood burning
Idk exact type or anything
But they worked, cuz the house is a renovated schoolhouse and build with a fireplace in mind

When I get up in the morning, it’s dark. When I leave work, it’s dark. At this rate, I’m gonna become a vampire soon!

I’ve always wanted a fireplace. But I live in a townhouse so no dice lol.

I thought a lot of townhouses were built with fireplaces? I'm thinking this partly because of those scandals about the connecting flues and how burglars would use them to steal from all the houses on a row if they could just get into one.
Okay grant you those scandals were mostly picked up from letters written four generations ago, but still.

These days, if they do, they're usually gas or electric fireplaces
