that's why I'm asking
at least for me, if I ever submitted a knuffel, it would be important to do it right from the very first time. otherwise it's more work for both you and me
so I am trying to figure out why some things are acceptable and some are not though they look the same to me

thank you for the answer

I can understand that judging a knuffel can be frustrating. :3 It's alright. I'm just looking for a little help to get her accepted.

From the 1st to the 2nd stage, the shirt is extended, sleeves are added, socks are added, and the hair is longer and gets put up into a bun. That should cover the major changes as well as some of the clothes evolving.

When it goes to the 3rd stage, the shirt does get covered by the corset, so I can see where it could be considered dressup. The floofy pants are actually an undergarment, so I put the pants over them. Would it help if they started as blue instead of pink/light red? I would consider the socks/leg area to be evolving since the socks do fold over the boots. They don't just go under them completely.

Could anyone suggest something for me to add from the 3rd to 4th stage? That seems like the stage that changes the least. I was thinking of adding a flag she could be holding if that would help. I would also think the sleeves are evolving since they extended and were not just added during that transition, however, please let me know if that is incorrect. c:

<3 I look forward to more suggestions!

Anna, I think for me it would already be enough if, instead of adding more things, you would change the current changes so that it would evolve instead of changing.
For example take the pants: Instead of having them fluffy pink underpants in the first stage, make them blue short pants - then it will be like the short pants evolve into longer pants, not as if the Knuffel put on more pants.
You could also change the white stockings in stage 2 for red socks, that would then become the red stockings. You know, it's not so much about adding more things, but about having the things you already have evolve.
The only stage where you really should add at least one more thing is stage 3-4, but other than that the amount of changes is fine, it's just that they are not the right changes, so you just need to tweak what you already have a bit.

The art is gorgeous by the way! I am glad you came here for help, because many of the Knuffel I reject I never see again. :(

If you'll write exact reason for rejecting and show the stages, other users will try to help you in finding what needs fixing.

Kaley...I'm not sure if this is the reason or not and I am no expert but this is what I see...1st stage bald head with a fish egg? and big shell, 2nd small fish and now has hair and a small shell, 3rd bigger fish new headband, no shell but pants and mouth has changed, 4th longer hair, head band, bigger fish, legs changed color and added arm things, 5th longer hair, head band, face changed, no fish but something on the back and head fins or wings and the shell is back on. So I think the hair length growing is good the face changing is good the head band is good in the last three stages. If you had a small amount of hair in the first stage that would fix that part. The shell maybe smaller in the first stage and add the pants but make them small but still seen and also the pants in the second one too but just a bit long than the first stage. If you keep the shell maybe make it a bit smaller in each stage...I like the last stage just some things are not leading up to the final stage. I hope I was able to help some. I do like it and good luck in getting it excepted.

Kale, read through those:
Firn wrote:

Your Knuffel must evolve! You have to submit 5 unique, significantly different, gradually evolving stages.
→ Evolving means your Knuffel gradually changes and becomes an "upgraded" new version of itself
→ At least 3 BIG changes per stage
→ No just adding a few clothes/accessories for every stage (and most of all: Not taking them off again! Your Knuffel must make a progress in evolving. Adding clothes, and then taking them off again or relocating them is no evolution and does not count as any change at all! The same goes for adding body parts like wings, then taking them off again, or letting hair grow, and then chopping it off again. All these things are reverting the evolution again.
→ No suddenly changing clothes into completely different clothes. "Evolve" the clothing too!
→ No sudden transformations into something completely different

Right now change between 1 and 2 has no element that would really evolve. He has big shell in first stage that changes size and placing in second, embryo turning into small fish on head... But none of this is really evolution. Adding hair might count, but that's only element I think looks okay.

Between 2 and 3 shell suddenly changes into pants, this isn't evolution either.

Between 4 and 5... fish suddenly disappears... why was it there in first place, if you get rid of it in the end? There is no logic to it.

Mph, my Knuffel was rejected because of "Wrong concept of evolution"... I guess making a Knuffel based on the concept of love and heartbreak wasn't a good idea?

Here it is. http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o71 ... 7fc4b6.png

Help please. >.>

Just read what amalath quoted in the post above you. After stage 3 she looks like she evolves backwards (clothes getting shorter, hair getting shorter, headwings getting smaller), which isn't allowed.
