I'm honestly surprised that the comic shop person that asked him to play you didn't call him out on it, usually they are a bit more in the know about that kind of stuff and would have been able to say offhand if you had a legal deck or not.(granted I don't keep track of that kind of stuff as the only TRG I ever played was the pokemon one and that was mostly just in my block and I didn't do it long because of a card thief.

The guy that told him to go against me never said that my deck was illegal, just that it had old cards in it is all. But since the guy I went up against used to play yugioh, that usually meant banned cards because the really old ones are banned.

I meant against the guy talking bad about you, I wasn't implying he'd said your deck was illegal. (sorry having a bad day) and Yeah I know a lot of the old Yugioh ones are banned though i understood that due to being less available for newer players and trying to keep it fair for them(and due to some of the older cards being way overpowered with all the new rules) (I have a friend that plays Yugioh TRG a ton but I'm not personally into it) Reason I said the card shop guy might have been able to tell him otherwise is a lot of card shops will host tournaments and have to know the legal standards for decks.
