Well, ore prices change over time as mines play out and new veins of ore are discovered, or new mining techniques are found.
So maybe the switch happened when copper was more expensive than aluminum, and it is reversed now....

Who knows. I guess that I could google it. But I don't feel like it.

I'm, uh, running REALLY LATE and shouldn't be here but there are PEOPLE online to TALK to and it's SO HARD to leave!

One of my part-time jobs. I've been collecting them, trying to figure out financing. Now that some of the Elders are gone, I'm having to redo the budget situation and it's tricky. I'm thinking I might need to end up taking in renter(s) but I really don't want to add more people to the household, so for now it's just a matter of part-time jobs here and there and looking for other solutions.

I called and said I was running late and it was okay, but it was irresponsible of me. I've lived for so long with the notion of "it matters that it gets done, it doesn't matter when exactly" that it's hard to transition into the notion of "do it during XYZ hours only". I keep taking work home and doing it here and then showing up late or leaving early because it's done.... Eh well. I only have been taking positions with flexible bosses anyhow, because if the Elders need me I have to be able to stay with them. And so long as I do keep trying, and keep getting things done, it seems to be working out okay.

Sounds intense. Yeah, losing family members definitely mix up the financial dynamic. After my dad died my mom made a ton of stupid financial decisions and we ended up mildly homeless for a month. We lived in a hotel.

But you are a lot more reasonable than my mom, so I'm sure you'll manage.

To be fair, you won't have to care for the renters at all. They'd be doing their own thing. You'd just be providing a place to live.

I'm glad your boss is so understanding! That's really nice. Are you working for small businesses? I know places that are corporations are usually not so understanding. Like at all. It sucks.

Ah, you're still putting things together and unpacking, what an exciting phase! It's making me happy just thinking about it, I hope you are able to enjoy it and are not just exhausted.

Light: Yes, exactly, small places with local owners. The flexibility is almost more important than the pay to me at this point. I hope I can work it out! Sounds like your mom had a really rough time of it after being widowed. Grief can really mess with a person.
One of the weirdest things is when I start feeling guilty if I'm not MORE messed up when I lose an Elder. Isn't it bad enough, without I add artificial negative emotions on top of the genuine ones already there?
I tell you, we humans are strange, strange, hormonal little monkeys sometimes.

MissNikki are you finding that as you unpack you are changing your decorating/organizing ideas, or did you not plan at all before, or are you finding that your plan is exactly what you want without changing it?
