It is entirely possible that taxes where you live are significantly higher than what you found for prices, or if it's a whole different country thing, then the currency may be all the difference needed

Every time I go to McDonald's their "machine is broken" so I never get to have ice cream or shakes >8u
I had an Oreo Cheesecake milkshake from Sonic yesterday.
It was okay, but I'd choose regular chocolate over it u8

Was it not very chocolate-y?
For me the draw of milkshakes and malts is the sweetened dairy taste. I am always a fan of things like that, even if they're made with the not-very-good ingredients. Definitely a weakness!

The only chocolate was the Oreo cookie bits.
It was okay, but meh u8
I remember my grandpa used to make shakes for me at home.
I miss those. But they're apparently a pain to make so we don't do it anymore xD;
I once got a malt that wasn't made right. It was extremely sour and bad.
I told my mom and aunt and they acted like I was being stupid or over exaggerating.
They both took a drink and were like "This is sour!!" REALLY? YOU DON'T SAY >_>

ha ha, you got your revenge -they had to try it to believe it and therefor they had the sour taste!
Weird, though... how do you make a sour malt when you're doing a mlikshake-style-malt not the alcoholic drink?

They said that the person didn't mix it all the way and that the malt powder is sour.
I got a coffee at Starbucks once and they did not do it right.
It tasted horrible and my aunt took me back and got a new one.
It's been years since that happened, but every time I go to drink their coffee, I worry that it'll taste bad xD

I think they make it so cheap by using cheap ingredients, mass producing, and tons of tax writeoffs for being 'job creators '.
If you ever get the chance you should try them.
Oh man. If you blown away by those prices you should look at taco bell. You can get stuff there for like 89 cents a piece. It's cray. Unfortunately I'm not super fond of tbell.
I fucking love starbucks. I miss my free coffee.
