Actually, another language question that went through my head this morning...
Is there a verb in English to describe ringing the bell on your bicycle?
in German, we just use the word for ring standalone and from the context it is clear what is meant, but I was wondering if that works in English as well.

I have no clue on that soda question
as for about ringing the bell on the bike.. I guess?
the bike bell rings.....rung..rang..depending on what tense you use (future, past, present)

Yeah, but do you have to specify the bike bell or can you say something like "I was riding x bike behind an old lady yesterday and when I rang because she was in the way, she was surprised"?

Re: soda
Depends on who you ask and where you're from
Mom says pop is the drink, soda has something (I think ice cream) added

It depends on where you are in the USA. I've heard pop, soft drink, soda, and in the south you call everything coke but then you specify what kind you want. Example: Waiter: what would you like to drink?
Customer: Coke.
W: What kind?
C: Sprite, please.
Pop, soda, soft drink, and coke aren't for EVERY carbonated drink. Like we wouldn't say carbonated water is soda.
Also, in the USA, there isn't fizz or carbonation in our lemonade. lol.
I don't think there is a specific word in English for ringing a bell on a bike. Lots of our bikes, in the USA, don't have bells.
