Moi do you get more static-y after a lightning storm? (Or during or just before? Or can you not tell a difference at all?)

I really don't know. I just know that every time I go to touch certain things, I worry I'll get a shock.

It's usually with vehicle doors. I open the door to get in or get out and it shocks me.
You can even hear it.
I also get shocked when I touch other people and even my cat.
Those you can hear too.

When we'd go to parks, I'd touch big old slides they have.
Those are weirdly always static-y.
I just barely touch it and ZAP!
I can even hover my hand over it and "feel" the static xD

You guys had me paranoid to unplug my heating pad last night xD
I was like "What if I get electrocuted uB"
I'm really paranoid of plugging things in and unplugging them.
Because I did get electrocuted plugging my radio in.

Oops?

I was electrocuted once too
Dad was checking bulb, changing out bad ones, and all that stuff
We have this cool tool that does that
So I was helping
Thought the one was empty socket
Nope, broken bulb
ZAAAAAP
Tripped the breaker
It took dad a handful of seconds to see that tee, it was a broken bulb and not an empty socket

DX<
That sounds terrible.
I remember a sudden jolt going up my arm and then my arm felt hot.
Funny thing is other people use that socket and never got electrocuted. Just me.

Yeah, I'm just glad it was in that one particular room cuz the house is old and there's still defunct knob and tube wiring so who knows how it would've turned out in a different room
