Kingdom of Knuffel

My mom's spinal cord is twisted and her back bones are disintegrating. And worse part is, it's hereditary and I have disintegrating bones too. Mom gets a over $700 from SSI and I get $400-$700 dollars in care provider services. My dad makes $300-$400 we get $68 in food stamps and if I'm lucky I get about $80 in child support.

I dunno how much we average monthly. Buuut I don't get food stamps or anything like that. My sister does though! Sometimes I get her to buy me groceries.

Your state pays you to take care of her?! D8 I asked about that for mom and I cause just her SSI check doesn't cut it, we don't have programs for family members to get paid for taking care of loved ones here... =o=

Mom has braces on her feet due to too many surgeries on her feet (she keeps getting ganglion cysts on her ankles) a few herniated disks in the top back area (shes starting to look like the hunchback >->,)

she gets shots in her knees because of knee joint pain.. arthritis all over her body, the family doc is doing blood tests to make sure its nothing else then that.

and she has carpal tunnel..

apparently this is what happens with long term abuse growing up =o= being in an abusive family in the 50s sucks.. no one saves you.


Then she is also Manic Depressive, Bi-Polar, she has Thyroid issues... She's super childish..

She doesn't understand that asking for painkillers and even NAMING the one she wants makes her sound like a drug addict.. =o= Her one pain management doctor dropped her as a patient because the shots he was giving her in her spine no longer works and he refuses to issue narcotics.. (and he won't sign her up for one of those legal marijuana patient cards so she can get some when the dispensaries are set up)

It's almost like taking care of a 4 year old that is 4'8" tall and uses a walker to get around..

What your mom has sounds painful ono Worse than what my mom goes though. Doubt mom would even listen if I told her she's lucky she doesn't have disintegrating bones and a twisted spinal cord.. How'd it get twisted? If you don't mind me asking.

(careful on who you tell cat, its actually illegal to buy other people food with your foodstamps =o= when I worked at the mission FOR my foodstamps, 2 people came through doing court ordered Community Service because they got caught. One gave their foodstamps in exchange for cash, the other gave food bought with foodstamps to the person who took them to the store.. =/ shitty system)

Yep. Not all states do that? They should.

Speaking of groceries, we buy my brother and his family some too when we have extra funds. And will probably do so today. I'm waiting for him to reply to me on facebook.

Mom does what the one lady did.. buys our ride groceries from time to time. I'm scared she's gonna get caught. The government here are strict on that stuff. =( you both be careful

All states should pay those who are stuck at home taking care of disabled family. =o=

I think here the money's mine to do whatever since I earned it. Just like a regular job.

Ah well no worries here. It's extremely rare for me to need help food wise... last month we needed a few things since we were paying more than usual on the vet bill trying to get it paid off, which it finally is! <3

Hmm... I dunno how it would be illegal. Unless you were selling it for cash I could see how that would be. But as far as buying someone a frozen pizza with it I see no harm.

Oh I don't use food stamps to buy my brother food. We don't get enough. I spend actual money for him.

YEAH I mean that my sister uses cash. Did you catch that government? :U Not Food Stamps but CASH!
