Oh, you have an Grog-fan avatar?
Hahaha, it will be great, having someone else to chat with :D
That's what I was thinking of doing, going along and deciding on the last day of this item.
Because I had already made my mind to pass on it, but during the Halloween event I gained a bunch of donuts too and those might make a difference...

I'm doing the Nanowrimo ... I'm not sure how much time I'll have to post during Grog's visit.

Ooooh, maybe you can use the writing area of the forum to post snippets of your NanoWrimo work?

I could. But it's in French so it's not like many people could even read it XD
Also, while I think the story has potential, the writing itself isn't something I'm proud of, it will need reworking, which will happen later. Judging from last year, once I'm done with it, I won't want to even think about it for a while.
Anyone else doing it btw?

I wasn't going to but maybe I'll take on a lesser challenge. I'm definitely not up to 30k words, but I'll try to do 3 poems for every day in November. That much I can probably do, if I don't try and polish them up entirely, and just move on to the next one, and do the final polish/editing later.
I wouldn't worry about it being in French; there are a lot of multilingual people on this site. It's more a matter of if you don't want to share it before reworking then that is a better reason not to post it, ha ha ha.

Nano is 50k XD
Honestly though, the more you do it, the easier it is. It's only my second year but it's going so very smoothly that I should finish early.
Aren't poems harder though? I mean, you're supposed to put some thoughts into it. When it comes to Nano you (or at least I) just write and don't care about how it looks as long as it gets the story along (hence the need for reworking).
I'll think about it ;)
There was a French hangout somewhere but if I remember well we were like three participants and I'm not sure everyone is still there. I should go hunt for that hangout.

Definitely not up to 50k!!
November is a busy month and we're already a third of the way through it, so I wouldn't want to.
Poems are easier for me, though, because they don't have to be deep thoughtful ones. Honestly I was thinking more like the ones you come up with when playing tavern games -simple easy short ones that only express a single thought or moment.
Also easier to sell, ha ha ha.
(I mean, there are a lot more languages I am comfortable reading in, than writing in. Hangouts are harder because it's easy to lurk and read them but harder to participate and talk in them. I suspect there are more people who could read the French than who would comment in French... at least at first...)

I assumed I would not get any cellphone, cause I needed to focus to get the Lillian Hair.
But I managed to earn a nice amount of donuts during the event, so maybe I could grab the cellphone and still get the hair in time? Or maybe it's too risky?
Arrrrgh.
Hard to choose.
I'm wondering the same thing. Risk it all, or go for the safe bet and ignore the cellphones? They're not an item that I'm likely to use, but I still wanna have them in case I ever make an avi where that one item would fit perfectly. Ugh, so hard to decide!

I remember posting there like 2-3 times a long time ago, lol. It must still be alive???

I looked for it, the last message is from 2018, the one before is mine and it's from 2017. I was talking about getting married XD Good times ^^
As for the cellphones, at least they're not that expensive? I'd think more about it if they were more than 2 donuts a piece but that being said, I bought them when they first came out and haven't used them a single time so there's that too.
@Akili Li: I'm actually at more than 30k. I'm very fast, while kind of busy going out.
