I'm pretty lucky, but you can't avoid being stung every once in a while when you work with them. My hives are very gentle, all told, though. I had to requeen once due to increasing aggression, but I just moved the brood frames around so they raised one up from one of the gentler queens' layings, and that seemed to work.
I admit, my taste for honey has actually been decreasing over the years, simply because it's such a bother to deal with. Except in comb form. Oh, I can't get enough of that, and the soft new beeswax-'chewing gum' after...

Being allergic would be awful!

Aha it is indeed a pain to deal with but I eat it so rarely that I can bear with the pain.

Also, question. I know someone who manages hives who keeps on moving them around to make honey with different tastes. It's apparently quite a bother and I was wondering if everyone did that or he's just that particular.

@Eva: bees usually don't bother humans. If they sting it's usually because they're attacked.
Hornets on the other hand ...

Yeah the only time I've ever been stung was when I was like, 5? I practically dumped my new bottle of perfume on me to go out with my mom and her friend, walked past a rose bush... it flew right into my collar and stung my neck. I cried for like a minute and then was over it...

I conversely have bad luck with roses XD

Well, being the clumsy girl I am, don't even get me started on roses ...

Basically, if something is dangerous, you can be sure I'll get stung somehow.
It's a miracle I don't get hurt more actually.

Yeah, the very first injury I can remember in life is the first time mom took the training wheels off my bike. I went down the path from our apartment toward the mailbox. Except the path turns, twice. Made the first one, didn't make the second one, fell over into a rosebush, bike fell on top of me T^T

The first injury I remember was me falling from a chair and ending up with a huge red bump on my forehead.

I haven't stopped ever since. And even more strangely, never made it to the hospital either

I've been to the hospitallll... 4-5 times? All for health issues, not injuries.

The most hostpital thing like I've done is taking X-ray.

But I've visited a lot. My little brother keeps on breaking bones ^^

I've never broken one! *beams*

Me neither! Despite being a klutz.
Little brother on the other hand broke both arms, a leg and a toe. Also got stiches on his lips and on his other leg and had a concusion ^^
