I suppose, but any kind of birth control can have it's side effects. I feel like the benefits outweigh the possible negatives in this case.
You could always just take the regular birth control pill and skip the placebos so you don't menstruate.

Are you talking about a pelvic exam? For the birth control?
Well they'd do a pelvic exam if you were getting everything down there cut out too.

lol. Did you really think they weren't going to look at it?
How else will they know what they're doing?
They're not going to blindly swing scalpels at your crotch.

Please stop swearing
And yes, unfortunately, there are private part doctors for a reason, and they have to actually look at stuff. But at least for most people, it's only very rarely.

On the topic of hassle-free birth control / menstruation stops:
I have a hormone implant in my upper arm, I found that way less scary than an IUD and it's supposed to also keep you from bleeding as well. Doesn't work for me though, so there's no guarantee. But I knew before they inserted it that that was likely, since my doctor had me switch to a pill that is very similar to the implant for a while before and I still bled under it. But you don't have to do anything for 3 years, no making sure to take your pills, and I think the dose of hormones is more like the lighter pills where you have to be really careful to take them at the correct time and stuff, so for me it's still less hormones than the pill I took before.
