Got some cleaning done and some shows watched
And then I had to help clean up the downstairs a bit and my room is just as messy again

There's a thought. I'll have to look into that....
I really need to take in a boarder though, or find yet another job. I don't know how people do it trying to live alone.

Kitalpha do you think it's the ghosts messing with you? That sounds frustrating, just having cleaned and then finding everything a mess again.

That sucks. Every time I clean I lose something important. Or someone else does. My grandmother in law lost my keys by putting them somewhere weird. I haven't seen them in months. Good thing I rarely leave the house, I guess. Lol.


How many spare rooms do you have? If you're going to take in someone I imagine you'd have to do some thorough investigation on them. With elderly in the house, you don't want anyone who might jack their meds.

We were thinking about getting a room mat but our house is disturbingly messy. No one gonna wanna move in with us.

I really only have one extra room, the house is pretty big (almost 1500 square feet) but it's not laid out in the most efficient way. I didn't even think of the issue with meds! Ah, bless it, that does make it more complicated. Ummmm. Maybe I can try for one of the international grad students coming into town for University -they wouldn't have the contacts for that (at least not off the bat) and they'd have more to lose by getting involved in drugs.

I got clean clothes put away and dirty clothes in the bin and hamper, and where they all were is now occupied by stuff I had downstairs cuz hey no room

That sounds like a good idea. Actually! There are services that will hook you up with foreign exchange students too! Not sure how it works, but it might be worth checking out. I'm sure they would provide you with some sort of compensation.

Yeah, I figured there's a few things that you don't think about because you haven't been around a lot of awful people. Lol. But stick with me kid! I will help you guard against assholes! (I know you're older than me, but I thought it was funny calling you kid)



I feel that. There is no room for any thing in my house. It's partially because crap isn't organized. But not all the fault. Like if all our dishes were clean at the same time then we would have to leave them piled in the sink anyways because there's nowhere to put em.

Clean laundry is left in the basket because not enough room in our drawers/closets.

The garage has a 900 square foot base plus an attic where we store shit that doesn't get hurt by crazy flexing temperatures
It has a shitton of my oldest sister's junk, so much that she likely forgot what's all in there
Her Tiggers and more sentimental stuff, yeah, we're saving, but the blankets and shit can all go

The house has two floors and an unfinished basement but I think each floor isn't much larger than the garage
Plus it's divided into rooms, so it's even smaller
My room is a bit shy of 120 square feet, and second floor has, at five feet and up, two walls that slope in cuz roofline, and two outlets, of which one doesn't have a grounding prong

A lot of older stories about fey creatures and small house-demons have them depicted as having helpful aspects, things just usually inevitably go wrong. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a comment on their underlying nature or just narrative convenience...

OKAY DEMON TRYING TO HAUNT IN A MESSY HOUSE IS GONNA KNOCK SHIT DOWN AND FALL THE FUCK OVER AND EVENTUALLY SAYS FUCK THIS AND CLEANS THE PLACE UP SO THEIR HAUNTERY ISN'T SIDERAILED BY THEM TRIPPING AND CRASHING BECAUSE THAT AIN'T IN THEIR AGENDA
