Takoyaki is actually easy to make. As long as you have the plate to make them though. We even have takoyaki making parties sometimes ^^
(Also, as far as I'm concerned, translating takes a lot more energy compared to creative writing. Actually, writing things based on something else is also a lot harder for me in general.
Which is why I hate reworking my creative stuff so much. It kills my brain.)

Meanwhile I don't like jam. Or jelly. Or marmalade

I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of eating takoyaki. I'll have to see if I can find a good place to get it from in Atlanta when I officially move into my new house.
I like the lemon creme or raspberry jam filled donuts, though there is a doughnut shop near my parents house called Donut Worry that sells a maple bacon doughnut that's pretty good. There's also a place called Sweet Hut near-ish my job that sells amaretto iced doughnuts that tasted pretty decent as well.
I don't do jellies, jams, marmalade, or preserves often as the sugar hurts my teeth something fierce and I always feel like I have to drink my weight in water after. But every once in a while I get a sugar craving that needs to be satisfied.

Amaretto ice donuts sounds very good.
And now I have a craving for donuts except I've had some a few days ago. It was written custard on the label but I was tricked and it was half whipped cream and half custard and you couldn't even taste the custard. Next time I'll just power through the longer walk and go to Krispy Kreme XD
(Also Ms_Zuralli, I don't want to pry or anything, and I know dental work is expensive and that sometimes you just can't but if you feel actual pain on your teeth after eating sugary things you should get it checked. Last time I did (I'll admit it took me years), it turned out the tooth that hurt the most was actually more cavity than tooth and that the other one that did needed a root canal and it wasn't fun. And then there was the time it didn't hurt at all but I ended up in the hospital for teeth problems and that wasn't fun either ^^)

@Moon Star isn't one of the rules of NaNo that anything goes so long as you decide it does? So, it probably counts haha!

You're right...
Maybe I could write a while book, if I quit posting here.
Just not happening xD

There used to be a Borders (book store) next to a Krispy Kreme. When the latter had their fresh hot donuts sign on, ooooohhhhh freshly glazed and warm with a new book was amazing
Mom and I went fairly regularly for years, sometimes going to Borders even if the sign was off in hopes of taking long enough for the sign to turn on
It was also one of the ones that showed the rising, frying, glazing process, that Krispy Kreme

I've never been into fancy donuts irl. I've always liked better the classic ones - plain, just a sugar coat.

Well now I am super tempted to go to the store and get ingredients to make donuts....
But I want takoyaki first. I wonder where I can get a takoyaki pan?

*looks up recipe*
Takoyaki looks really cool
But you need that special pan for it.
I don't know, I would not buy a pan just for a dish.
What other uses can you think for it? Mmmm... Meatballs, for example, surely they turn out great in that pan.
