I love spicy food 8u
I actually got some curry chicken from the Chinese place down the street because they said it was spicy, but it wasn't spicy to me.
I didn't complain, but they could knock it up a little 8u

Only spicy thing I ever tasted that I didn't like was wasabi.
I got spicy salmon roll from the store and it had a little on the side.
I didn't even eat it - I licked it to see how it was.
Never again 8u

Me: This is wasabi 8u? Pfft. I'm Mexican - I can handle it >8u -lick- I CAN'T HANDLE IT UB

I'm Korean and I can't handle spice at all haha But if I like the food, I'll risk having a runny nose and burning tongue :p

Genuine wasabi or pseudowasabi?
From what I've seen, in multiple places, wasabi made from the wasabi plant is actually pretty damn rare, and is quite mild
What most people know as wasabi is horseradish, mustard, green food dye, and some other stuff mixed together

Oh... probably the latter, since she was talking about sushi rolls

I have no idea. I got it at the super market.
Whatever it was, it was spicy and unpleasant xD

My bestie told me she liked these spicy Korean noodles.
I don't remember what kind they were u8

you can't get the ingredients to make sushi where you are? That's too bad, they're really good...

Well I just need some nori but it's not something we buy often even for my sushi wants.

I live on my partner's income, which supports us but it's tight $ wise.

Yes, I can see how it would only be an occasional food, then!
We can get bags of 100 sheets of nori for about $5 at the big asian market up in the capital city, and so every time I go through there (about twice a year) I always grab one or two. Locally it's very expensive here, too. You can get 10 sheets for $4 in town, or wait for the big bulk discount that doesn't happen very often.
Oddly we end up having sushi more often than we do miso! Miso, now, that's not something I've managed to find cheap ANYWHERE. I can get the kombu no problem to make dashi but the miso itself? Nope....
