You people have so many choices.
I can choose between plain tea or plain coffee, a biscuit or a toast.
Nothing fancy at all.

And it's alright.
If there were so many choices in my town, I'd weight a ton xD

I lived in the middle of nowhere, like 500 people, more cows than people, and then I moved in a megalopolis. I gained 15 kilograms in 3 years XD I still have 5 of those to loose so the donuts are a reward for walking to the shop further away.

@Ms_Zuralli: My, American Krispy Kreme are more interesting than Japanese ones. It's already Christmas at Krispy Kreme and the flavors are strawberry, milk tea and chocolate. But they're shaped like a Santa, a bear and a snowman so I guess that kinda makes it up for it? Probably not worth the walk though.
Mister Donuts has Pokémon shaped donuts. But the Mister Donuts collaborations are put out at a certain hour that's different in different stores and that's too annoying for me so I don't bother either ^^ (that and I'm not such a huge fan of their donuts either)

Hm, the place I usually eat donuts from is a local shop across the street from my work called The Friendly Donut. :/ I have become convinced that they put pepper in their icing because I've tasted that faint afterflavor multiple times and quite a few of my coworkers have started to taste it too. It's quite concerning.

The best donuts near me are from a local shop across the street from the oldest high school in town. They're much better than Krispy Kreme or Duncan Donuts.

We used to have another shop that I really liked, but they closed. They made their donuts with potato flour and they were so fluffy and delicious.

LOL
Ms_Zuralli wrote:Seasonals at this moment for Krispy Kreme are Cranberry Orange, Dutch Apple Pie, Pecan Pie, and The Gobbler. I think the only one that looks like it might be okay to try is the Cranberry Orange, as the others look kind of a mess and I don't like pecan pie. Too sweet even before the teeth issues started.
Pecan Pie donuts??? It sounds so yummy. I love pecan pie!

I would definitely try a milk tea flavor. How is that not worth the walk, lmao. The other two do sound boring tho, imo.

You guys are pretty lucky to have so many independent donut shops near you. All I have are bakeries that may or may not have donuts and if they do they put whipped cream inside it.

@Moon Star: Because it's a one hour and a half walk? XD That and I'm not a fan of milk tea flavor either.
The interesting thing is that if I do the walk there is a high chance I will end up with something else than donuts.

@Kuuki, Ok, bus + walk it is, lmao. (Yeah, an hour and a half is far too much for donuts. Too much for any kind of shopping, if you ask me! But that's because I hate shopping, soooo)

And I've never had anything milk-tea flavored, so I'd definitely be willing to try it, though I'm definitely not guaranteed to like it, which I why I'd get a bunch more stuff to make up for the trip. :'D

Also, whipped cream? Gross.

Yeah but bus + walk doesn't mean enough distance to offset the calories of the donuts.
I sometimes walk only half the way though so it's still something I could do.

I do walk everyday though. Ever since husband has been working from home he's been gaining weight and has been scolded by his doctor. So I'm walking him every day XD

And yeah whipped cream. They put whipped cream in everything and everywhere. I honestly don't want to eat whipped cream anymore.
That and I don't even understand the logic, it might be relatively cheap but it also spoils easily so I don't understand the hype.

Ms_Zuralli wrote:I thought with meat buns you make the dough, put the stuff in the middle, kind of form the dough in the middle, then steam. Though I suppose using a muffin pan would make some of that easier.
We don't have a way to steam them, so we bake them

@Kuuki, Usually I'd just take a walk after eating the donuts, anyways, so it wouldn't matter as much. :)

And that's too funny, you walk him. Would he walk if you didn't make him? :D

But yeah, whipped cream on some things can be great, but I can't understand why you'd put it in a donut, when you can use jam or custard???

@Kitalpha Hart, And baking them is soooo much easier too, lol.
