Yeah, but they give some sort of comfort still. When I'm sad/lonely and in need of a hug I just cuddle my stuffed octopus toy. His name is Henry, for some odd reason

He makes me feel a little bit better. Especially I can hold one of his tentacles in my hand and imagine it's my boyfriend's hand, haha.

Ooooh I love your avatar, Mem!
I have an octopus like that too, my mom just called him Okkie so I kept doing that xD
We bought him for a reduced price because one of his tentacles had an ouchie, my mom had it fixed in no time. I think it's the last plushie she ever bought for me. It's a cherished memory <3

Aw, that's such a sweet memory, indeed. I bought Henry not too long ago, just for myself. Yes, I'm an adult, lol. Stuffed animals are for everyone, imo. I wasn't even ashamed of buying it and just walking with it in my hands on the street. Someone even smiled at me and said it's a cute toy. Maybe because I look young and could pass for a teen. But I still didn't care what anyone could potentially think of me. I just told myself they could think I bought it for a child as a gift or something.

Never really cared about it either. A while ago a lady got on my bus who I estimated just slightly younger than me, probably in her mid twenties or something. She was carrying a midsized shark plushy. When she got on I exclaimed "Awesome shark!" but she looked really uncomfortable at that remark, so I leaned over and whispered to her "I have that one too, you know. Two of them, even. One bigger and one smaller." Her whole face lit up, it was lovely to see xD
And I didn't lie a bit, I really have two of those myself, the big one being so massive it rode with me on the passenger seat, seatbelt on and everything when I bought it. No one should ever have to be ashamed of loving something. Stuffed animals are warm, soft, pretty, and massively comfortable in so many ways. Everyone who doesn't love them is a psycho imo.

Yeah exactly. Body pillows that have the “i’m alive warmth” that animal/hooman cuddles have. 8u

I have stuffed plushies as well, although not too much. After all, I’m the one sleeping on the bed, not my plushies. Can’t be like my sister, where she uses her bed as her extended wardrobe and plushie bed. XD;;

They used to be in my bed but that got rather hard now that I have a bed in the middle or my room, like no walls to put them against. So now they're all lined up nicely against both walls, on top of some low closet space :)
It makes my bedroom feel like a cosy safe space
Well safe for me, not for the plushies when the cat comes along and topples them all over... again... xD

I did a harsh clear-out with my plushies collection a few years back. Now I only have the ones dearest to my heart and the newest ones, like Henry. And I think Henry is the only plushie I bought since the clear-out XD
My stuffies ar eon top of my wardrobe XD

My bed is up against a wall so that’s the wall i line my few plushies on. XD although its mainly lined with two pillows so that i don’t have to bang against the wall if i decide to toss and turn into the wall. XD
