Actually, most places are even worse when it comes to insulation. At least mine is insulated well from the outside. The place I lived before had a literal hole between the window and the outside wall.

And my current place is well lit, which is a miracle. Also very well located. It's not perfect but I do like it

Do calendars always start before the event and count down to it, or do they ever start on the event and extend the holiday?

They go by the day
If it starts late we can access the other doors retroactively

It would feel kinda odd, starting late...

I dunno.
I can't help hoping there is something completely different, although I'm quite sure that would disappoint many people.

I'm just looking forward to the banner change. It always amuses me to see the little donuts hanging down like ornaments when now I associate doughnuts with Grog.

Wait-wait-wait, am I misremembering? Isn't Doughnight where the moon turns into a giant doughnut?

I think the ones we use to pay in the Candy Caravan are Frozen Donuts.
But the winter event with a calendar is called Doughnight, because of donut-shaped moon.
So we kinda have both words.
