I'm terrified of airplanes - so I doubt it somehow.

Oh - the names around here would have you in a fit. In Florida too - there are a lot of Indian named places there as well.

It's storming outside! I'm so glad to see the rain :] We've had a terribly dry summer.

Oh! Why? o.O
But maybe it'll help you overcome your fear! <3

Florida, really? I don't know any Florida names I think! Except for Fort Lauderdale, or isn't that Florida?

Storm... <3

That is Florida. I grew up there. There are towns like Okeechobee and Pompano - just to name a few.

I don't know - the fear is pretty well ingrained. On a flight, coming home from Germany, we nearly crashed into a mountain and had to make an emergency landing. Not to mention 9/11 - I like my feet on the ground, haha.

Okeechobee! Marvelous! x'D

Wow, this is the second story on here I hear of someone nearly crashing and therefore having trouble flying. o.O
So unfair. I'd love to experience an emergency landing >>

I know I'm crazy. I realize it's scary. But I've always been fascinated by air crashes - maybe even more than aviation itself. If I could ever experience such a crash myself and live to tell the tale in one piece... I don't know how to explain it really.

Either way, pilots are very well trained. Most cases end like yours. :p
What happened anyway? What was your flight number / airline / starting point - destination? In which year did it happen?

Living to tell the tale - that's the key element.

I just don't have reason to fly - probably when Alan and I have our honeymoon i'll fly again but I won't like it!

Oh you're a quick poster. I edited my last post with some questions. :p
And like I said, most cases end like yours. Deadly crashes don't occur as often as people think.

Awh come on, it'll be fun!
Ahem. It will probably just be terribly boring. But still.

Oh gosh - I don't remember all that information.

We left - I believe it was Hamburg, Germany -flying to New York. The year was 1994 or 1995. That's about all I can remember for you. The airline..gosh I don't know. It was so long ago and I was still in high school at the time so I didn't make the arrangements myself. My grandmother and I flew over to see my Uncle who was stationed on an army base there. They got into a fight as soon as we got there and he told us we had to leave. Flew there, got there, slept overnight in a hotel and then left the next day. That. Sucked.

Oh, that's a long flight to make two in two days, holy crap o.O
Poor thing. Couldn't you stay around and do some sightseeing? I can imagine Germany is awesome to see as an American - and not a chance you'd get often, right?

Thanks, I'll see if I can find something on it. :p
