Ah well, now I understand. And I remember what the older guys from my hometown were saying. The lost fingers were always a result from frostbite from their time in the Russian front/jails during WWII.

Guess it was easier to just cut it at the same time.

Yeah, apparently the scary part is if you try and save what shouldn't be saved. I don't really understand it, actually. I've read about it, but I can't find the logic.

Hey, I just left for a few hours and this conversation evolved to something completely different.

Frosbite.
Never seen such a thing.
Must be appalling.

Don't you worry, it never too late to join a conversation.
Specially if there are donuts involved!

Then is it a conversation about eating donuts? It's been a while since I got the chance to eat one...

I only mentioned it because of the Frosted Donuts for the Caravan...
I haven't eaten a real donut in ages!

You guys are posting waaaay too fast for me.
Kuuki wrote:@Moon Star, that's so very Canadian XD

I'm also so very jealous. I'm not leaving my apartment and the view is a highway. At least I can see the sky but I wouldn't say no to some more trees.

Then again, I recently had the chance to spend the night at one of the inn that inspired Spirited Away so I won't complain too much XD
Hahahah, sugar shacks at Christmas is as Canadian as you can get, yes! And that sounds absolutely exquisite, I'm so jealous!
blackbriar wrote:There, a holiday themed avi in the same color scheme. It makes one wonder if I own items that don't have crimson in them. >.>
Really pretty, I love it. :)
Akili Li wrote:See, I don't know what a sugar shack is, but it sounds an awful lot like they live in a gingerbread house....
Make sure you mark your way there with pebbles, not breadcrumbs
It's basically just a small cabin where you collect sap from sugar maple trees to then boil it into maple syrup. My cousin just got it, and it's definitely not the season for it either, but she wanted us to celebrate Christmas there so that's what we're doing~

And just for you, I'll carry pebbles in my pockets the whole time! ;D

I love being lost in the forest. Though I'd be scared of not being able to come home. Canadian winter seems brutal.

I'm pretty sure we had a conversation about eating donuts during the last caravan. And guess what? I didn't have any since then XD
